By collecting and analyzing the explanation/conception, acupoint name, acupoint location, indications, acupuncture and moxibustion techniques and contraindications of -sea point recorded in () and ( '), it is found that conception of -sea point of five- points has been specifically formed, the names of -sea points of eleven meridians, the locations and the ways to locate them were recorded. But, the summaries relevant to the indications of the many -sea points have not been included in teaching materials, thus, it needs to be further analyzed. The acupuncture-moxibustion techniques at -sea point are flexible and the attention should be paid to distinguish "needling -sea point in autumn" from "needling -sea point in winter".

Background and Purpose- Pontine autosomal dominant microangiopathy and leukoencephalopathy, a recently defined subtype of cerebral small vessel disease, is associated with mutations in COL4A1 (collagen type IV alpha 1 chain) 3' untranslated region. We here describe a pontine autosomal dominant microangiopathy and leukoencephalopathy pedigree with COL4A1 mutation presenting both pontine and cervical spinal cord involvement. Methods- For the diagnostic purpose, brain and spinal magnetic resonance imaging scanning, skin biopsy, and whole-exome sequencing were performed on the patients in the pedigree.

Through collecting and digging the medical books and literature of medical scholars in dynasties, the contribution to acupuncture academic development in Shandong region was introduced briefly so as to provide the references to the study on the regionalism of acupuncture school. The results showed that there was a long history of acupuncture from the Dynasty to the present and many medical scholars and medical books were sprung up.

Objective: To observe the effect difference between acupuncture combined with electroacupuncture (EA) and simple acupuncture for hand spasm in stroke patients.

Methods: Sixty patients were randomly assigned into an acupuncture group and a combination group, 30 cases in each one. Patients in the two groups were treated with acupuncture at the affected Jianyu (LI 15), Binao (LI 14), Jianliao (TE 14), Quchi (LI 11), Shousanli (LI 10), Waiguan (TE 5), Futu (ST 32), Liangqiu (ST 34), Xuehai (SP 10), Zusanli (ST 36), Shangjuxu (ST 37), Xiajuxu (ST 39), Yinlingquan (SP 9), Sanyinjiao (SP 6), Taixi (KI 3), Taichong (LR 3), and the points at the middle of all the dorsal muscles between metacarpal bones.

In the present study, whether the attenuating effects of curcumin against hypoxic-ischemic brain injury in neonatal rats are mediated via nuclear factor erythroid-2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) and heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) was investigated.
