Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates how psychological capital influences anxiety in college students by looking at the role of emotion regulation strategies and the impact of parent-child relationships.
  • It found that students' use of emotion regulation strategies, specifically cognitive reappraisal and expressive suppression, partially mediates the relationship between psychological capital and anxiety.
  • Additionally, a strong parent-child relationship enhances the positive effects of psychological capital while reducing the negative impact of expressive suppression on anxiety.

Purpose: Necroptosis, a monitored form of inflammatory cell death, contributes to coronary heart disease (CHD) progression. This study examined the potential of using necroptosis genes as diagnostic markers for CHD and sought to elucidate the underlying roles.

Methods: Through bioinformatic analysis of GSE20680 and GSE20681, we first identified the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) related to necroptosis in CHD.

Increasing global concerns about psychoactive substance addiction and psychotic disorders highlight the need for comprehensive research into the structure-function relationship governing ligand recognition between these substances and their receptors in the brain. Recent studies indicate the significant involvement of trace amine-associated receptor 1 (TAAR1) in the signaling regulation of the hallucinogen lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) and other antipsychotic drugs. This study presents structures of the TAAR1-Gs protein complex recognizing LSD, which exhibits a polypharmacological profile, and the partial agonist RO5263397, which is a drug candidate for schizophrenia and addiction.

Ischemic stroke is the leading cause of long-term disability in adults, accounting for 80% of stroke cases. Diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) examination is the main test for acute ischemic stroke, but in recent years, several studies have shown that some patients show negative DWI examination after the onset of ischemic stroke with symptoms of significant neurological deficits. In this study, we investigated potential biomarkers related to immune metabolism in the peripheral blood of DWI-negative versus DWI-positive patients after ischemic stroke and explored their possible regulatory processes in ischemic stroke.

Multiple cell death pathways are involved in neuronal death in ischemic stroke (IS). However, the role of different cell death pathways in different cell types has not been elucidated. By analyzing three single-nucleus RNA sequencing (snRNA-seq) data of IS, we first found that a variety of programmed cell death (PCD) -related genes were significantly changed in different cell types.

Background: Earlier studies have juxtaposed different laparoscopic methods for treating renal tumors; however, extensive evidence with a particular focus on large kidney tumors remains lacking. The objective of this meta-analysis was to assess the perioperative outcomes, kidney performance, and cancer-related results of laparoscopic partial nephrectomy (LPN) versus laparoscopic radical nephrectomy (LRN) for treating extensive, localized, non-metastatic kidney tumors (cT1b-cT2N0M0).

Methods: We systematically searched multiple databases from database inception until December 2023 for relevant studies.

Liver ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury is a common cause of organ failure, developed by a sudden block in the blood and oxygen supply and subsequent restoration. I/R damage is responsible for acute and chronic rejection after organ transplantation, accounting for 10% of early graft failure. The study investigated the therapeutic properties of fangchinoline in liver injury-induced rats.

Background: Type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) may be associated with various autoimmune diseases, but the causal relationship between T1DM and autoimmune skin diseases is not yet clear.

Methods: The summary statistical data on T1DM and nine autoimmune skin diseases in European populations were extracted for mendelian randomization (MR) analysis. Subsequently, the analysis was replicated in East Asian populations.

Background And Objective: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most common malignancies in China. At present, there is a problem that the CRC treatment drugs SHP099, L-OHP and 5-FU are insensitive to tumor cells. Combination medication is an important means to solve the insensitivity of medication alone.

Background: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is characterized by high morbidity, disability, and mortality rates worldwide. RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) might regulate genes involved in oxidative stress and inflammation in COPD patients. Single-cell transcriptome sequencing (scRNA-seq) offers an accurate tool for identifying intercellular heterogeneity and the diversity of immune cells.

Inflammatory Myofibroblastic Tumor (IMT) occurring in the adrenal gland is extremely rare, and pathologic examination is the gold standard for confirming the diagnosis. We report a case of IMT of adrenal origin in a patient whose diagnosis was confirmed by pathological examination after surgical resection of the tumor. Although previous studies have reported an overall favorable prognosis for IMT, regular and long-term follow-up is necessary.

Electronic address:

Malignant renal rhabdoid tumor (MRTK) is an aggressive and rare malignancy primarily affecting infants and young children. The intricate interactions within the Tumor Microenvironment (TME) are crucial in shaping MRTK's progression. This study elucidates the significance of tumor-associated macrophages(TAMs) within this milieu and their interplay with eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E-binding protein 1 (EIF4EBP1) in tumor cells, collectively contributing to MRTK's malignant advancement.
