Objective: Systemic sclerosis(SSc) remains unclear, studies suggest that inflammation may be linked to its pathogenesis. Hence, we conducted a bidirectional Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis to evaluate the association between cytokine and growth factor cycling levels and the risk of SSc onset.

Methods: In our study, the instrumental variables(IVs) for circulating cytokines were sourced from the genome-wide association study (GWAS) dataset of 8293 Finnish individuals.

Objective: Tolerogenic dendritic cells (tolDCs) have emerged as a potential treatment for rheumatoid arthritis (RA). However, the detailed mechanism requires further investigation. In this study, we aimed to explore the effects of tolDCs on T-cell differentiation and NLRP3-mediated pyroptosis in a collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) rat model.

Methods: The active components and corresponding targets of Ginkgo biloba leaves were obtained from the traditional Chinese medicine systems pharmacology database and analysis platform (TCMSP) database, and the targets of NSCLC were obtained from the GeneCards, OMIM, TTD, and DrugBank databases.

Discovery of Novel Hybrids of Edaravone and 6-Phenyl-4,5-dihydropyridazin-3(2H)-one with Antiplatelet Aggregation and Neuroprotection for Ischemic Stroke Treatment.

Drugs with anti-platelet aggregation and neuroprotection are of great significance for the treatment of ischemic stroke. A series of edaravone and 6-phenyl-4,5-dihydropyridazin-3(2H)-one hybrids were designed and synthesized. Among them, 6g showed the most effective cytoprotective effect against oxygen-glucose deprivation/reoxygenation-induced damage in BV2 cells and an excellent inhibitory effect on platelet aggregation induced by adenosine diphosphate and arachidonic acid.

The causal impact of saturated fatty acids on rheumatoid arthritis: a bidirectional Mendelian randomisation study.

Objective: The causal relationship between saturated fatty acids (SFAs) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA) remains poorly understood. This study aimed to determine whether SFAs are causally related to RA using Mendelian randomisation (MR) analyses.

Methods: Genome-wide association study (GWAS) summary data for RA (ukb-d-M13_RHEUMA) and SFAs (met-d-SFA) were obtained from the Integrative Epidemiology Unit OpenGWAS database.

Objective: We conducted this paper to decipher the efficacy of the combined chemotherapy of zoledronic acid and pamidronate in treating bone metastases from nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and the effects on pain stress and bone metabolic indices.

Methods: Patients with bone metastases from NSCLC were allocated into Group A and Group B. Patients in the Group A were administrated with pamidronate combined chemotherapy and patients in the Group B were administrated with zoledronic acid combined chemotherapy.

Several studies have noted an association between cytokines and OA, yet the causal link between them remains ambiguous.

Evaluating AAPM-TG-218 recommendations: Gamma index tolerance and action limits in IMRT and VMAT quality assurance using SunCHECK.

Purpose: This study aimed to improve the safety and accuracy of radiotherapy by establishing tolerance (TL) and action (AL) limits for the gamma index in patient-specific quality assurance (PSQA) for intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and volumetric-modulated arc therapy (VMAT) using SunCHECK software, as per AAPM TG-218 report recommendations.

Methods: The study included 125 patients divided into six groups by treatment regions (H&N, thoracic and pelvic) and techniques (VMAT, IMRT). SunCHECK was used to calculate the gamma passing rate (%GP) and dose error (%DE) for each patient, for the planning target volume and organs at risk (OARs).

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the prescribing patterns and usage trends of systemic glucocorticoids in primary care institutions located in Southwest China from 2018 to 2021.

Materials And Methods: A retrospective cross-sectional analysis of systemic glucocorticoids prescriptions was conducted in 32 primary care institutions located in Southwest China between 2018 and 2021. Prescriptions of systemic glucocorticoids were classified as appropriate or inappropriate use.

The mediting role of psychological resilience on the negative effect of pain in patients with rheumatoid arthritis: A cross-sectional study.

The objective of this study was to investigate the direct effects of pain-induced depression and anxiety, as well as the mediating role of psychological resilience, on the psychological distress associated with rheumatoid arthritis. The method involved a sample of 196 patients with rheumatoid arthritis and applied the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale, and visual analog scale for pain. Bivariate and path analyses were performed, and a multiple mediational model was utilized.

Background: Retinal disorders cause substantial visual burden globally. Accurate estimates of the vision loss due to retinal diseases are pivotal to inform optimal eye health care planning and allocation of medical resources. The purpose of this study is to describe the proportion of visual impairment and blindness caused by major retinal diseases in China.

A retrospective observational study was conducted. From December 2017 to October 2022, 16 patients were admitted to Department of Orthopaedic Trauma of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and 32 patients were admitted to Department of Burns and Plastic Surgery of Guiyang Steel Factory Staff Hospital.
