Materials And Methods: A total of 309 patients who underwent liver biopsy were randomly divided into the estimation group (n = 201) and validation group (n = 108). The model was developed using multiple regression analysis in the estimation group and further verified in the validation group.

Objective: To establish and verify the validity of a three-dimensional finite element model of the thoracolumbal segments T12-L2; the stress distribution of the model was analyzed, providing a theoretical basis for finite element analysis of thoracolumbal segment fracture as well as a surgical model.

Methods: A healthy female volunteer with no history of lumbar spine injury was selected to obtain CT scan data of the T12-L2 vertebral bodies. Our previous study demonstrated that parental uveitis in a susceptible population can cause hair loss and increase the susceptibility to experimental autoimmune uveitis (EAU) in offspring. However, it is unclear whether parental uveitis affects the development of offspring in an EAU-moderate-susceptible population. Herein, moderate-susceptible C57BL/6J mice were immunized with inter-photoreceptor retinoid binding protein (IRBP) 651-670 to develop EAU and were kept together for mating.

Finite Element Analysis of Unilateral versus Bipedicular Bone-Filling Mesh Container for the Management of Osteoporotic Compression Fractures.

The effect of unilateral and bilateral bone-filling mesh containers (BFC) on osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture (OVCF) was analyzed by the finite element method. The CT scan data of the T12-L2 vertebral body were obtained from a healthy female volunteer with no history of lumbar spine injury or obvious abnormality of vertebral body morphology. The normal finite element model of the T12-L2 vertebral body and the finite element model of osteoporosis were established, and the models were validated.

Background: Kidneys obtained from deceased donors increase the incidence of delayed graft function (DGF) after renal transplantation. Here we investigated the influence of the risk factors of donors with DGF, and developed a donor risk scoring system for DGF prediction.

Methods: This retrospective study was conducted in 1807 deceased kidney donors and 3599 recipients who received donor kidneys transplants in 29 centers in China.

Ginkgolide B promotes oligodendrocyte precursor cell differentiation and survival via Akt/CREB/bcl-2 signaling pathway after white matter lesion.

White matter lesion (WML) is caused by chronic cerebral hypoperfusion, which are usually associated with cognitive impairment. Evidence from recent studies has shown that ginkgolide B has a neuroprotective effect that could be beneficial for the treatment of ischemia; however, it is not clear whether ginkgolide B has a protective effect on WML. Our data show that ginkgolide B can promote the differentiation of oligodendrocyte precursor cell (OPC) into oligodendrocytes and promote oligodendrocyte survival following a WML.
