Association between meniscal extrusion and disease severity in knee osteoarthritis: a retrospective case-control study.

Objective: To explore the relationship between meniscus compression and the severity of knee osteoarthritis.

Materials And Methods: A retrospective case-control study included 95 patients with knee osteoarthritis (OA) admitted to our hospital from April 2021 to July 2023, who were grouped into slight protrusion of meniscus group (n = 48) and severe protrusion of meniscus group (n = 47) according to the degree of meniscal extrusion. Various parameters, including Kellgren/Lawrence classification, imaging findings, cartilage damage grading, physical function assessments, and correlation analyses, were used to evaluate the relationship between meniscal extrusion and disease progression.

Relationship between moral resilience and secondary traumatic stress among ICU nurses: A cross-sectional study.

Background: Since the outbreak of COVID-19, researchers worldwide have focused more on the issue of secondary traumatic stress (STS) experienced by nurses. This stress has an adverse effect on the health of nurses and the quality of nursing care, potentially undermining the stability of the nursing team and hindering the ability to meet the growing demand for nursing services. The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the rise in global demand for ICU nursing, has placed a significant strain on ICU nurses, severely damaging their mental and physical health.

The safety and efficacy of the re-administration of gilteritinib in a patient with FLT3-mutated R/R AML with CNS relapse: a case report.

FLT3-ITD is a type of poor prognostic factors in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) disease. Gilteritinib, the second-generation FLT3 tyrosine kinase inhibitor, improved the overall survival of patients with relapsed/refractory FLT3-mutated AML in the ADMIRAL phase III trial. However, few data are available on the efficacy and safety of gilteritinib-based therapy for FLT3-mutated AML with central nervous system (CNS) involvement.

[The relationship between rapid eye movement electromyogram activity and sleep stability in rapid eye movement sleep behavior disorder].

To investigate the relationship between the types of electromyogram (EMG) activity and sleep stability during rapid eye movement (REM) in patients with rapid eye movement sleep behavior disorder(RBD). One hundred and three patients with RBD who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Military Medical University from January 2017 to December 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. The general situation, clinical symptoms, sleep and emotion questionnaires and nocturnal PSG data were collected.

[Idiopathic hypersomnia: a kind of sleep disorder that cannot be ignored].

Idiopathic hypersomnia(IH) is a chronic central disorders of hypersomnolence that manifests as excessive daytime sleepiness occurring despite normal or prolonged sleep time. Due to the individual heterogeneity of disease, the high overlap of clinical, poor repeatability of polysomnography monitoring results and the lack of clear disease biomarkers, clinical diagnosis and differential diagnosis are still difficult. This article summarizes the update of diagnostic criteria, clinical manifestations, diagnosis and treatment strategies of IH, in order to receive attention, increase the recognition rate of clinical diagnosis, reduce the misdiagnosis rate and missed diagnosis rate.

LINC01133 contributes to the malignant phenotypes of non-small cell lung cancer by targeting miR-30b-5p/FOXA1 pathway.

This study aimed to explore the mechanism of action of LINC01133 in non-small cell lung cancer. LINC01133 expression in NSCLC patient tissues and cells was detected by qRT-PCR. After transfecting siRNA-LINC01133 in NSCLC cells, the proliferation and invasive migration ability of the cells were assessed via CCK-8 and Transwell assay, respectively.

Pterostilbene (PTE), a natural phenolic compound, has exhibited promising anticancer properties in the preclinical treatment of cervical cancer (CC). This study aims to comprehensively investigate the potential targets and mechanisms underlying PTE's anticancer effects in CC, thereby providing a theoretical foundation for its future clinical application and development. To accomplish this, we employed a range of methodologies, including network pharmacology, bioinformatics, and computer simulation, with specific techniques such as WGCNA, PPI network construction, ROC curve analysis, KM survival analysis, GO functional enrichment, KEGG pathway enrichment, molecular docking, MDS, and single-gene GSEA.

[A case of acute inhalation dinitrogen tetroxide poisoning].

Dinitrogen tetroxide is often used as an oxidant in rocket propellant and has strong irritant and corrosive properties. This paper analyzes the clinical data of a patient with dinitrogen tetroxide poisoning admitted in the 63710 Army Hospital of Chinese People's Liberation Army, so as to further explore the poisoning mechanism, clinical characteristics and key points of acute inhaled dinitrogen tetroxide poisoning.

[Distribution and Drug Resistance of Pathogens Causing Bloodstream Infection in Patients with Hematological Malignancies].

Objective: To investigate distribution and drug resistance of pathogens of bloodstream infection in patients with hematological malignancies, in order to provide reference for clinical infection control and treatment.

Methods: The clinical information of blood culture patients in the hematology department of our hospital from January 2016 to December 2021 was reviewed. They were divided into transplantation group and non-transplantation group according to whether they had undergone hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

Background: There is insufficient data to support a link between serum AGR and mortality in individuals with diabetes. This prospective study sought to investigate the relationship between serum AGR and all-cause and cause-specific mortality in adult diabetics.

Methods: This study included 8508 adults with diabetes from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) from 1999 to 2018.

Patient preferences and willingness to pay for central venous access devices in breast cancer: A multicenter discrete choice experiment.

Background: Despite being a significant management decision in clinical or nursing practice, there is limited understanding of the preferences regarding risks, benefits, costs, and other attributes of patients with breast cancer when selecting peripherally inserted central catheters or totally implanted ports. The objective of this study is to investigate the preferences of patients with breast cancer who require chemotherapy when selecting an optimal central venous access device.

Methods: Data on patients' preferences for central venous access devices were collected using a face-to-face discrete choice experiment from the oncology departments of three public hospitals in China representing the eastern (Zhejiang province), central (Henan province), and western (Sichuan province) regions.

Combined transcriptomics and proteomics studies on the effect of electrical stimulation on spinal cord injury in rats.

Electrical stimulation (ES) of the spinal cord is a promising therapy for functional rehabilitation after spinal cord injury (SCI). However, the specific mechanism of action is poorly understood. We designed and applied an implanted ES device in the SCI area in rats and determined the effect of ES on the treatment of motor dysfunction after SCI using behavioral scores.
