Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common heart rhythm disorder in clinical practice. It worsens the quality of life of patients, leads to an increase in the mortality rate because of its association with a high risk of thromboembolic complications. The current pandemic of a new coronavirus infection, which began in March 2020, was marked by an increase in cardiovascular diseases, including an increase in the number of patients with AF.

Myeloperoxidase (MPO), a key enzyme released by neutrophils during inflammation, has been shown to catalyze the biodegradation of carbon nanomaterials. In this work, we perform photoluminescence studies on the MPO-catalyzed oxidation of graphene oxide (GO) and surfactant-coated pristine (6,5) single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs). The enzymatic degradation mechanism involves the introduction of defects, which promotes further degradation.

In the present study the electrochemical system based on recombinant cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) was used for the investigation of potential drug-drug interaction between medicinal preparations employed for Helicobacter pylori eradication therapy. Drug interactions were demonstrated in association of omeprazole as a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) and macrolide antibiotic erythromycin during cytochrome P450 3A4-mediated metabolism. It was shown that in the presence of omeprazole the rate of N-demethylase activity of CYP3A4 to erythromycin measured by means of product (formaldehyde) formation decreased.

Polyneuropathy in patients with diabetes mellitus is manifested by a lesion of peripheral sensory, motor and autonomic nervous system. Different severity of damage of sensory, motor and autonomic fibers in typical and atypical forms of diabetic polyneuropathy, requires a differentiated approach to therapy, but not the rejection of its implementation. In an interdisciplinary consensus, consultations are held with physicians from different regions of the Russian Federation, and modern methods of diagnosing and assessing the severity of diabetic polyneuropathies, which determine the algorithm for treating patients, are discussed.

Background: Non-vitamin K oral anticoagulants (NOACs) are commonly used for prophylaxis of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in orthopedic patients. Despite known safety and high potency of NOACs, potential interactions of NOACs with genetic polymorphisms are poorly understood. Dabigatran etexilate is one of the most commonly prescribed direct thrombin inhibitors for the prevention of VTE.

Spasticity treatment is one of the key aspects of the contemporary cerebral palsy (CP) rehabilitation that influences on the effectiveness of other methods. The paper presents the first Russian document that unites the recommendations for the BTA treatment of CP and could be used as the guideline for the multilevel injections. The Russian consensus on the multilevel botulinum toxin A (BTA) treatment of spastic CP is based on the international data and the results of national studies.

Background: The four-dimensional symptom questionnaire (4DSQ) is an originally Dutch self-report questionnaire that has been developed in primary care to distinguish non-specific general distress from depression, anxiety and somatization. In order to produce the appropriate translated Russian version the process of linguistic validation has been initiated. This process has been done according to the "Linguistic Validation Manual for Health Outcome Assessments" developed by MAPI institute.

Objective: to assess the clinical and cost-effectiveness of the addition to the treatment of patients with coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction (MI) If current blocker ivabradine.
Material And Methods: as a basis for pharmacoeconomic research results of the program are taken battleships, in which 1226 patients with MI less than 12 months ago, for 16 weeks received ivabradine in addition to standard therapy. When conducting pharmacoeconomic calculations take into account the direct medical and non-medical costs of treating patients with drugs; the call ambulance crews (CAC); on the patients stay in the hospital at admission.

The purpose of the review - analysis of randomized clinical trials to evaluate the efficacy and safety of rosuvastatin in respect of primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular events, as well as in patients with acute coronary syndrome. As a primary pathogenetic therapy aimed at reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease and death from cardiovascular disease ischemic nature, used statins, which have both lipid-lowering and pleiotropic other positive properties. When analyzing the results of the comparative evaluation of different statins best performance indicators in primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular events were at the rosuvastatin.

Aim: to compare effects of isosorbide dinitrate, isosorbide-5-mononitrate and nicorandil on frequency of angina attacks and vasoregulating endothelial function in patients with ischemic heart disease (IHD).
Material And Methods: In 117 patients with stable II-III functional class angina we analyzed frequency of angina attacks, exercise tolerance, data of 24-hour Holter ECG monitoring and brachial artery Doppler study.
Results: Patients with IHD had impaired endothelium-dependent vasodilation in the form of reduced endothelial response to increase of "shear stress" during test with reactive hyperemia.

In a framework of search for early predictors of depression in patients with ischemic heart disease (IHD) we studied effect of molecular- genetic factors (polymorphism of brain-derived neirotrophic factor - BDNF), personality traits (anxiety, neuroticism), IHD severity, and psychosocial stressors on manifestations of depression in men with verified diagnosis of IHD. Severity of depression was assessed by Hamilton Depression Rating Scale 21-Item (HAMD 21), anxiety and neuroticism were evaluated by the Spielberger State-Trait Anxiety Inventory and "Big Five" questionnaire, respectively. It was shown that personal anxiety and ValVal genotype of BDNF gene appeared to be predictors of moderate and severe depression.

There are limited data on the results of Russia's use of losartan in clinical practice for the treatment of patients with arterial hypertension (AH). The purpose of the study was to assess the efficacy and safety of losartan and its fixed combination with hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ) in patients with hypertension. Primary care physicians (n=644) for 8 weeks evaluated outcomes of treatment of hypertensive patients who were assigned to losartan monotherapy (12.
