One of the key strategies for tissue engineering is to design multifunctional bioinks that balance printability with cytocompatibility. Here, we describe fibrillar hydrogels produced by Schiff base formation between B-type gelatin and oxidized sodium alginate, followed by the incorporation of type I collagen, yielding a new gel (MyoColl). The resulting hydrogel exhibits a temperature- and mass-ratio-dependent sol-gel transition, showing variability of hydrogel properties depending on the component ratio.

Background Context: Several minimally invasive lumbar interbody fusion techniques may be used as a treatment for spondylolisthesis to alleviate back and leg pain, improve function and provide stability to the spine. Surgeons may choose an anterolateral or posterior approach for the surgery however, there remains a lack of real-world evidence from comparative, prospective studies on effectiveness and safety with relatively large, geographically diverse samples and involving multiple surgical approaches.
Purpose: To test the hypothesis that anterolateral and posterior minimally invasive approaches are equally effective in treating patients with spondylolisthesis affecting one or two segments at 3-months follow-up and to report and compare patient reported outcomes and safety profiles between patients at 12-months post-surgery.

Background: After astragalectomy, patients still have a shortening of the limb, which can require various reconstructive manipulations. We have developed a simple and versatile tibio-calcaneal-navicular arthrodesis (TCNA) technique to reduce limb shortening.
Methods: The main difference from the standard method of arthrodesis between the tibia and calcaneus is that in our method after astragalectomy, the tibia rests with the anterior edge against the os navicularis, and the posterior edge against the calcaneus.

Today, periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) is one of the leading indications for revision surgery and the most ominous complication in artificial joint patients. The current state of the art for treating PJI requires the development of methods for planning the costs at different scales to facilitate the selection of the best treatment methods. In this paper, we perform a cost-effectiveness assessment for strategies related to the treatment of PJI using a composite decision support modeling framework.

In this paper, we present a framework, which aims at facilitating the choice of the best strategy related to the treatment of periprosthetic joint infection (PJI). The framework includes two models: a detailed non-Markovian model based on the decision tree approach, and a general Markov model, which captures the most essential states of a patient under treatment. The application of the framework is demonstrated on the dataset provided by Russian Scientific Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics "R.

The score results from semiquantitative evaluation of the width of the synovial surface cell layer, the cell density of the stroma and the density of the inflammatory infiltration into 4 semiquantitative levels (normal 0, mild 1, moderate 2, severe 3). The addition of these values results in a final score of 0-9 out of 9.

Introduction: Gait analysis is one of the poorly understood dimensions of the functional results obtained after periacetabular osteotomy (PAO) due to dysplasia of the hip.
Materials And Methods: Spatiotemporal parameters as well as coronal and sagittal plane kinematics and moments were compared among three demographically similar groups of subjects: (i) 23 patients with excellent results according to the Harris Hip Score (HHS) (mean 6.6 years of follow-up); (ii) 12 patients with good and fair results according to the HHS (mean 9.
The histopathological synovitis score evaluates in a graded approach, as is largely usual for diagnostic histopathological scores, the immunological and inflammatory changes caused by synovitis. A synovitis score of between 1 and ≤ 4 is classified as low-grade (osteoarthritis-related synovitis, post-traumatic synovitis, meniscopathy-related synovitis and synovitis in hemochromatosis). Synovitis scores of between ≥ 5 and 9 are classified as high-grade synovitis (rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, Lyme's arthritis, post-infection/reactive arthritis and peripheral arthritis in Bechterew disease); sensitivity is 61.
