Case management is a widely utilized service in both youth and adult outpatient community mental health settings. Despite its widespread use, previous findings suggest that youth case management often lacks empirically tested models or frameworks. This article presents the results of a pilot study that involved adapting the Strengths Model, an adult case management model, for the child and adolescent outpatient community mental health population.

Daughters rewarding mothers' piteous lives: Eldest daughters caring for aging mothers.

This study is an analysis of the personal and social meanings of married women's experiences caring for their aging mothers as the eldest daughter in Korean society. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with seven participants for this study. The interviews were conducted in Korean, and the collected data were analyzed using descriptive phenomenological analysis in four categories: "being the eldest daughter and daughter-in-law in a patriarchal society with nothing but duties"; "the pain of taking care of my mother that invades my daily life"; "The compassion of an eldest daughter who can't turn a blind eye to her mother's miserable life.

Meta-analysis of exercise intervention on health behaviors in middle-aged and older adults.

Methods: A Meta-analysis was performed using NoteExpress software to screen randomized controlled trials (RCTs) published between January 1, 2000, and March 31, 2023, which were identified through databases including CNKI, Web of Science, Pubmed, and 6 more sources, based on predefined literature inclusion criteria. Bridging the Access Gap: A Decade of Narrowing the Digital Divide for Hispanic Older Adults in the United States.

This study examines the digital divide between Hispanic and non-Hispanic White older adults in the United States from 2011 to 2021, using an intersectionality perspective. Eleven waves of data from the National Health and Aging Trend were analyzed through multilevel logistic regression, focusing on the intersection between race/ethnicity and time (measured by survey waves) within gender, education, and income subgroups. A serious game titled "Crossing the Jungle" was developed in this study to train children's inhibition skills using the Stroop task. The effect of cognitive behavioral therapy text messages on mood: A micro-randomized trial.

The StayWell at Home intervention, a 60-day text-messaging program based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles, was developed to help adults cope with the adverse effects of the global pandemic. HealthySMS Text Messaging System Adjunct to Adolescent Group Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in the Context of COVID-19 (Let's Text!): Pilot Feasibility and Acceptability Study.

Background: The widespread occurrence and devastating impact of adolescent depression warrant health service research focused on feasible and acceptable digital health tools to supplement evidence-based intervention (EBI) efforts, particularly in the context of shelter-in-place guidelines disrupting youth socialization and service use in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Given the promise of SMS text message interventions to enhance EBI engagement, our team developed the HealthySMS system as an adjunct to one of the most empirically supported interventions for adolescent depression: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) group services. The system sends daily SMS text messages requesting responses assessing mood, thoughts, and activities; weekly attendance reminder messages; daily tips about adherence (eg, a prompt for activity completion); and personalized responses based on participants' texts.

The Quality Improvement Program for Missouri (QIPMO) is one such program. This longitudinal evaluation examined and compared differences in quality measures (QMs) and nursing home (NH) characteristics based on intensity of QIPMO services used.

Background: In the U.S. and globally, dominant metrics of contraceptive access focus on the use of certain contraceptive methods and do not address self-defined need for contraception; therefore, these metrics fail to attend to person-centeredness, a key component of healthcare quality.

A Case Study on Community Treatment Center for Response to COVID-19 in Korea: Focusing on Surge Capacity 4S Component Analysis and Social Well-Being Perspective.

In March, 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic in Korea, the first Community Treatment Center (CTC), which is a motel-type Alternate Care Site (ACS) for mild and asymptomatic patients, was opened. This is a case study of the first Community treatment center prepared to respond to COVID-19. One of the researchers worked as a medical doctor in one of the CTCs operated by the Korean government.

Understanding the social and community support experiences of sexual and gender minority individuals in 12-Step programs.

Sexual and gender minority individuals ( gay, bisexual, non-binary, transgender; SGMI) are 2-6 times as likely as cisgender heterosexual individuals to experience alcohol or other substance use disorders. SGMI participate in 12-Step groups, such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), at high rates.
