In this paper, we numerically investigate the dynamic response and explosion resistance of gradient aluminum foam sandwich tubes subjected to external blast loads. Based on 3D-Voronoi technology, we construct density-graded aluminum foam cores to systematically explore the influence of core density distribution, density gradient, and average relative density on the protective performance of these structures. Our primary objective is to identify optimal design parameters that maximize explosion mitigation capabilities while balancing energy absorption and specific energy absorption capacities.

Due to the intricate and volatile nature of the service environment surrounding prestressing anchoring materials, stress corrosion poses a significant challenge to the sustained stability of underground reinforcement systems. Consequently, it is imperative to identify effective countermeasures against stress corrosion failure in cable bolts within deep underground environments, thereby ensuring the safety of deep resource extraction processes. In this study, the influence of various coatings on the stress corrosion resistance of cable bolts was meticulously examined and evaluated using specifically designed stress-corrosion-testing systems.

The complex air environment makes it urgent to build good and safe indoor environments, and the study and application of new materials have become the focus of current research. In this study, we tested and analyzed the structural parameters and filtration performances of the four most commonly used new filter materials in the current market. The results showed that all four new filter materials showed a trend of first increasing and then decreasing their filtration efficiency with an increase in filtration velocity.

The hydroxyl radical (·OH) stands as one of the most potent oxidizing agents, capable of engaging in non-selective and instantaneous reactions with contaminants in water. Herein, we present a novel iron sulfide phase (S-FeS) characterized by an unprecedented structure, accompanied by its remarkable hydroxyl radical generation capability and contaminant degradation efficiency surpassing that of the conventional metastable iron sulfide phase, namely, the Mackinawite (FeS). In comparison to FeS, S-FeS exhibits enhanced degradation kinetics and higher efficacy in the removal of methylene blue, ciprofloxacin, and trivalent arsenic.

This study conducted in-depth research on a new reduced graphene oxide air filter material, and the differences in its performance and conductivity durability before and after eliminating static electricity were tested and analyzed. As a new mode of mining development, green mine optimizes the development and utilization of mineral resources with a minimum of the environmental impact, and how to objectively evaluate the construction level of the green mine has become the key to promote green mine construction and it has also been an important path to achieve sustainable development of mineral resources. The evaluation system and methods of green mine construction, however, are not perfect at present as the existing green mine evaluation mostly adopts the index scoring accumulation method, with which the internal relations between the indicators are ignored, and the subjective influence it causes is too large. Based on the framework model of driving forces, pressure, state, impact and response, an indicator system is constructed in this paper to express the internal relationship between indicators more intuitively.

With the increase in global environmental pollution, it is important to understand the concentration characteristics and correlations with other pollutants of atmospheric particulate matter as affected by relevant policies. The data presented in this paper were obtained at monitoring stations in Xi'an, China, in the years from 2016 to 2020, and the spatial distribution characteristics of the mass and quantity concentrations of particulate matter in the atmosphere, as well as its correlation with other pollutants, were analyzed in depth. The results showed that the annual average concentrations of PM and PM decreased year by year from 2016 to 2020.

With the increasing popularity of fresh-air filtration systems, the methods of determining the outdoor PM design concentration have become more important. However, the monitoring of atmospheric fine particles in China started relatively late, and there are relatively few cities with complete data, with obvious regional differences, which led to many problems in the selection of air filters for fresh-air filtration systems. Ozone micro/nanobubbles with catalytic processes are widely used in the treatment of refractory organic wastewater. Micro/nanobubble technology overcomes the limitations of ozone mass transfer and ozone utilization in the application of ozone oxidation, and effectively improves the oxidation efficiency of ozone. The presence of micro/nanobubbles keeps the catalyst particles in a dynamic discrete state, which effectively increases the contact frequency between the catalyst and refractory organic matter and greatly improves the mineralization efficiency of refractory organic matter.

A PVA aerogel/TiO/MoS/Au catalyst formed gradually using a hydrothermal method is used to degrade Rhodamine B. SEM and TEM results show that the composite presents a uniform and well-structured porous network structure, high specific surface area and large pore diameter were proved by the results of nitrogen adsorption measurement. UV-vis DRS and PL results indicate that the composite has a high absorption rate in the visible light range, and the recombination of photogenerated electron-hole pairs can be effectively inhibited because the composite material forms a heterojunction.

A cascaded lattice Boltzmann (CLB) model is constructed for simulating heat transfer in metal-foam-based solid-liquid phase change materials (PCMs). The present model captures the phase interface implicitly via the enthalpy methodology, and to avoid iterations in simulations, the CLB equation of the PCM employs the enthalpy as the basic evolution variable through modifying the cascaded collision process. Numerical results demonstrate the effectiveness and practicability of the CLB model for investigating heat transfer in solid-liquid PCMs with metal foams.

This research focused on the adsorption features and depression mechanism of 1-hydroxyethylene-1,1-diphosphonic acid (HEDP) used as a novel dolomite depressant on dolomite and magnesite surfaces, to extend the application of HEDP for the selective flotation of magnesite from dolomite. The depression impacts of HEDP on the flotation behaviors of the two minerals were investigated through micro-flotation tests. The flotation results indicated that, when sodium oleate (NaOl) was used as the collector, HEDP displayed an outstanding depression effect on the dolomite flotation, whereas it had only a slight influence on the magnesite flotation.
