Best Practices Guidelines for the Engagement of People With Lived Experience and Family Members in Mental Health and Substance Use Health Research: A Modified Delphi Consensus Study.

Introduction: People with lived experience of mental health and/or substance use conditions and their families (PWLE) are increasingly engaged in research, yet rigorous guidelines for engagement are lacking. This study aims to co-design best practice guidelines to support the authentic, meaningful engagement of PWLE in mental health and/or substance use health research.

Methods: A multi-panel modified Delphi study was conducted with 61 expert panelists (35 PWLE and family members, 26 researchers/research support staff from across Canada).

Aim: To systematically review the evidence on productivity losses due to health problems arising from the COVID-19 pandemic based on evidence from population-level studies.

Methods: Following PRISMA statement, we conducted a systematic review using Medline, Embase, Scopus, Web of Science, EconLit, WHO COVID-19 Research and EuropePMC databases and a grey literature search. We included population-level studies using secondary data and qualitatively assessed eligible studies.

Approaches to Incorporation of Preferences into Health Economic Models of Genomic Medicine: A Critical Interpretive Synthesis and Conceptual Framework.

Introduction: Genomic medicine has features that make it preference sensitive and amenable to model-based health economic evaluation. Preferences of patients, caregivers, and clinicians related to the uptake and delivery of genomic medicine technologies and services that are not captured in health state utility weights can affect the intervention's cost-effectiveness and budget impact. However, there is currently no established or agreed-on approach for integrating preference information into economic evaluations.

Marijuana use in adolescence is associated with significant adverse outcomes. Romantic relationships are an important context for marijuana use. The Burden of Diabetes in the Southeastern Coastal Region of China From 1990 to 2019 and Projections for 2030: A Systematic Analysis of the 2019 Global Burden of Disease Study.

Aim: This study examined the diabetes burden in Fujian Province, China, from 1990 to 2019, comparing it with China and global levels to inform policymakers.

Materials And Methods: We used data from GBD 2019 to analyse diabetes prevalence, death, and disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs). We assessed the average annual percentage change (AAPC) and estimated the impact of 17 risk factors.

Framing Person-Centred Leadership in Residential Care: A Cross-Cultural Adaptation of the Aged-Care Clinical Leadership Qualities Framework.

Aim: To cross-culturally adapt a framework for person-centred leadership in residential care for older people in Sweden.

Design: This study has an exploratory and descriptive design.

Methods: The translation procedure followed a cyclic process of translation into Swedish and back-translation into English by two independent bilingual linguists.

Associations between Driving Cessation and Mental Health among Rural and Urban Older Adults.

Driving cessation is robustly associated with poor mental health outcomes among older adults; however, the magnitude of this relationship may differ by rurality. This study examined cross-sectional and longitudinal associations between driving cessation and life satisfaction and depressive symptoms and assessed whether these relationships were moderated by rurality. Data is from participants in the 2014 and 2016 Health and Retirement Study (HRS) (mean age = 73; 58% female) with information on either depressive symptoms (n=5,650) or life satisfaction (n=1,931).

Echoes of Strain: A Two-Year Longitudinal Study on the Impact of China's Zero-COVID Policy on College Students' Insomnia and Depressive Symptoms.

Purpose: In China, stringent and long-lasting infection control measures, which were called "dynamic zero-COVID policy", have significantly affected the mental health of college students, particularly concerning depressive and insomnia symptoms. This study aims to investigate how depressive and insomnia symptoms evolved among Chinese college students throughout the pandemic, including the beginning and end of the dynamic zero-COVID policy period.

Patients And Methods: We conducted a 2-years longitudinal survey involving 1102 college students, collecting data at three key time points.

Assessing Links Between Alcohol Exposure and Firearm Violence: A Scoping Review Update.

Background: Firearm violence remains a leading cause of death and injury in the United States. Prior research supports that alcohol exposures, including individual-level alcohol use and alcohol control policies, are modifiable risk factors for firearm violence, yet additional research is needed to support prevention efforts.

Objectives: This scoping review aims to update a prior 2016 systematic review on the links between alcohol exposure and firearm violence to examine whether current studies indicate causal links between alcohol use, alcohol interventions, and firearm violence-related outcomes.

Health literacy in pediatric thrombosis: a landscape analysis.

Background: Health literacy can influence self-management, leading to improved health outcomes in pediatric patients with venous thrombotic events (VTEs).

Objectives: To assess general health literacy in adolescents and parents/caregivers of children diagnosed with VTE, and their perception and satisfaction with overall thrombosis-related knowledge, thrombosis knowledge compared to that of other conditions, and beliefs regarding thrombosis knowledge importance.

Introduction: Local context is the most common concern regarding use of a single institutional review board (sIRB). Yet what "local context" constitutes remains underspecified. Developing a shared understanding of the goals of local context review, the categories of information that should be considered, as well as the types of studies for which sIRB review may be inappropriate, are critical for ensuring that sIRB review provides adequate protections for human subjects.

Characteristics of nursing homes with high rates of invasive methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infections.
