Objective: BACKGROUND: There are limited data on the use of Mulligan's mobilization with movement technique in patients who underwent surgery for distal radius fracture. AIMS: This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of adding Mulligan's mobilization with movement to the conventional exercise program for those who underwent open reduction and volar plate application due to distal radius fracture.

Methods: This randomized controlled, single-blind study was conducted with 53 patients who had been operated on for distal radius fracture.

Effect of Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation on Patients with Total Knee Replacement: A Randomized Controlled Trial.

Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine the effect of transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) on pain, functionality, quality of life, and analgesic consumption in patients undergoing TKR.

Thoracolumbar fascia and chronic low back pain in idiopathic lumbar scoliosis: an ultrasonographic study.

Purpose: The role of thoracolumbar fascia (TLF) in the development of chronic low back pain (CLBP) has growing evidence in the literature. Although CLBP is reported in individuals with idiopathic scoliosis (IS), its relationship with the TLF has yet not been established. This study aims to evaluate the TLF and its relationship with CLBP in IS.

One simple question detects motion sickness susceptibility in migraine patients.

Objective: To find out if motion sickness susceptibility (MSS) of vestibular migraine (VM) patients and migraine only (MO) patients can be reliably detected with a single simple question: "Can you read while travelling in a car without getting motion sick?".

Method: Ninety-two definite VM and 58 MO patients and 74 healthy control (HC) subjects were asked about their MSS and about being able to read while riding in a car without becoming motion sick. A Motion Sickness Susceptibility Questionnaire (MSSQ-Short) including childhood (MSA), adulthood (MSB) and total (MST) parts was also administered to all participants.

The aim of this case-control study is to compare menstrual health and genital hygiene behaviors in adolescent girls and young women with CP to a healthy women control group. Participants were invited to study via social media tools between August 2021 and February 2022.

Validity and reliability of the turkish version of the early activity scale for endurance in preschool children with cerebral palsy.

This study presented the Turkish translation of the Early Activity Scale for Endurance (T-EASE) which was developed to evaluate the endurance for physical activity of preschool children with Cerebral Palsy (CP), and its validity and reliability. Fifty-five children with CP aged between 2 and 5 years were included in the study. The Gross Motor Function Classification Scale (GMFCS) and Pediatric Outcomes Data Collection Instrument (PODCI) were used to determine motor function levels and quality of life of the study population.

Association of lower extremity lymphedema with pelvic floor functions, sleep quality, kinesiophobia, body image in patients with gynecological cancers.

The aim was to investigate the relationship between lower extremity lymphedema and pelvic floor functions, sleep quality, kinesiophobia, body image in patients with gynecological cancer the effect of lymphedema severity on pelvic floor dysfunction (PFD), sleep quality, fear of movement, and body image in patients with lower extremity lymphedema after gynecologic cancer. A total of 103 patients (52 patients with lymphedema and 51 patients without lymphedema) after gynecologic cancer surgery were included in March-June 2022. Bilateral circumferential measurements were taken with a tape measure at different levels to create groups.

The effects of incontinence on functionality, disability, and quality of life in male and female patients with multiple sclerosis.

Purpose: To determine the effects of incontinence on male and female patients with multiple sclerosis in terms of functionality, disability, and quality of life.

Methods: The study included 90 patients (45 male, 45 female) with multiple sclerosis (MS) with a median age of 37 years. After recording the sociodemographic characteristics, urinary incontinence was evaluated in terms of quality of life with the International Consultation of Incontinence Questionnaire-Short Form (ICIQ-SF), overactive bladder symptoms with Overactive Bladder Questionnaire-V8 (OAB-V8), quality of life with Multiple Sclerosis Quality of Life Questionnaire-54 (MSQOL-54), and function was evaluated with the Lower Extremity Functional Scale (LEFS).

Short-Term Effects of Connective Tissue Massage After Hysterectomy: A Randomized Controlled Study.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of connective tissue massage (CTM) on postoperative pain severity, first passage of flatus and the first defecation, and functionality in patients after total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH) or total abdominal hysterectomy (TAH).

Methods: A total of 60 patients who underwent TLH or TAH were included in the study. Patients who underwent TLH were randomly grouped as TLH-CTM (n = 15) and TLH control (n = 16), and those who underwent TAH were randomly grouped as TAH-CTM (n = 14) and TAH control (n = 15).

This study aimed to psychometrically evaluate the Turkish version of the Multiple Sclerosis Intimacy and Sexuality Questionnaire (MSISQ-15) in women with MS. The study included 130 women with MS. The Turkish linguistic validation process of the original English MSISQ-15 was performed according to standardized guidelines.

Aerobic exercise increases irisin serum levels and improves depression and fatigue in patients with relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis: A randomized controlled trial.

Background: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic progressive neurodegenerative disease of the central nervous system. Although there is increasing evidence that aerobic exercise has a positive effect on both cognitive and psychological functioning, there is limited evidence for Relapsing-Remitting MS (RRMS) patients. Moreover, it is unclear at what exercise modality and intensity the irisin, the cleaved and circulating form of the exercise-associated membrane protein Fibronectin Type III Domain Containing 5, is induced in patients with MS.

A Comparative study on the assessment of dual task performance in rheumatic diseases.

Background: In task-oriented studies showed that the chronic pain is effective on dual tasks. Chronic pain is the main health problem that prevents mobility restriction and participation in most rheumatic diseases.

Research Question: Do rheumatic diseases have an effect on dual task gait performance?

Methods: This comparative-descriptive study included 75 individuals who aged 18-65 years and divided in two groups as Rheumatic Disease Group (RG; 23 women, 14 men) and Control Group (CG; 20 women, 18 men).

Does polycystic ovary syndrome with phenotype D affect the cardiovascular endurance, core endurance, body awareness, and the quality of life? A prospective, controlled study.

Objective: This study evaluates cardiovascular endurance, core endurance, body awareness, and the quality of life in normal-weight women with polycystic ovary syndrome.

Materials And Methods: This study included a total of 101 normal-weight women (51 with and 50 without polycystic ovary syndrome). Cardiovascular endurance was evaluated with the 20-meter Shuttle Run test, and maximum oxygen consumption was calculated.

An important tool in lymphedema management: validation of Turkish version of the lymphedema breast cancer questionnaire.

Purpose: This study aimed to perform the psychometric evaluation of the Turkish version of the Lymphedema and Breast Cancer Questionnaire (LBCQ).

Methods: Patients with BCRL ( = 50) received a Turkish version of the following measurement tools: Lymphedema Functioning, Disability, and Health Questionnaire (Lymph-ICF), Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand questionnaire (Quick DASH), LBCQ and Upper Extremity Functional Index (UEFI-20). Patients without BCRL ( = 50) completed only the Turkish LBCQ.

Comparison of the Effect of Kinesio Taping and Manual Lymphatic Drainage on Breast Engorgement in Postpartum Women: A Randomized-Controlled Trial.

To investigate the effect of kinesio taping (KT) and manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) on pain severity, breast engorgement, and milk volume in postpartum women. In this prospective randomized-controlled trial, we recruited 67 postpartum women who had breast engorgement and randomly assigned them to the KT, MLD, and control group. In the KT group, taping plus breast care was performed, MLD plus breast care was performed in the MLD group, and in the control group, only routine breast care was given for 10 days.

The effectiveness of oropharyngeal exercises compared to inspiratory muscle training in obstructive sleep apnea: A randomized controlled trial.

Background: Inspiratory muscle training (IMT) and oropharyngeal exercises (OE) have different advantages and disadvantages and a comparison of these modalities has been recommended. The aim of this study was to compare the effects of IMT and OE on important outcomes for patients with OSAS.

Is the Effect of Complex Decongestive Therapy the Same for Primary and Secondary Lower Lymphedema?

The aim was to compare edema and quality of life (QOL) after complex decongestive therapy (CDT) in two types of lymphedema: primary lower limb lymphedema (PLL) and secondary lower limb lymphedema (SLL). Participants with PLL ( = 20) and SLL ( = 20) were recruited in this prospective single-blinded study. Patients in both groups were treated with CDT for 4 weeks 5 days a week.

The effect of additional neuromuscular electrical stimulation applied to erector spinae muscles on functional capacity, balance and mobility in post-stroke patients.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of neuromuscular electric stimulation applied to the erector spinae on balance, motor function and functional capacity in patients with stroke in a randomized controlled trial.

Methods: Sixty patients with stroke were recruited and randomly distributed into two groups: control group and neuromuscular electric stimulation group. All participants underwent conventional physical therapy five times a week for six weeks.

The effect of kinesio taping and lifestyle changes on pain, body awareness and quality of life in primary dysmenorrhea.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of kinesio taping and lifestyle changes on pain, body awareness, and quality of life in individuals with primary dysmenorrhea (PD). Subjects in the first group underwent kinesio taping and lifestyle changes and subjects in the second group were instructed only lifestyle changes. The pain levels were evaluated using a visual analogue scale, menstrual symptoms using the Menstrual Symptom Questionnaire, health-related life quality using the Short Form-36, and changes in body awareness using the Body Awareness Questionnaire form.

Effects of Pilates and Elastic Taping on Balance and Postural Control in Early Stage Parkinson's Disease Patients: A Pilot Randomised Controlled Trial.

Introduction: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of Pilates training and elastic taping on balance and postural control in patients with early stage Parkinson's Disease (PD).

Method: Patients were randomly divided into Pilates, elastic taping, and control (wait list) groups. Pilates training was performed for 6 weeks, twice a week and 60 minutes per session.

Association between 6 min pegboard and ring test and arm performance in GOLD stage II-III patients.

Background: The 6 min pegboard and ring test (6PBRT) is a valid and reproducible test of unsupported arm exercise endurance. The aim of this study was to determine the associations between the 6PBRT, activities of daily living (ADL) and hemoglobin levels in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Methods: This study included 40 stable patients with COPD.

Imbalance, motion sensitivity, anxiety and handicap in vestibular migraine and migraine only patients.

Objective: The aim of this study is to compare the balance ability, anxiety level and motion sickness susceptibility in Vestibular Migraine (VM) patients, migraineurs without history of vertigo (Migraine-only, MO) and healthy controls (HC). We tested the hypothesis that VM patients have worse balance performance and higher anxiety level and motion sickness than MO and HC group.

Methods: This cross-sectional study included of 123 definite VM patients, 58 MO patients and 49 HCs.
