Aims: This study aims to translate, cross-culturally adapt, and conduct initial psychometric testing of the EBP-COQ Prof© to Bahasa Indonesia.
Background: The availability of evidence-based practice competency tools evaluating nurses' knowledge, skills attitudes and adoption in the context of Indonesian nursing practice are limited. A valid tool in EBP that measures nurses' self-perceived competency in knowledge, skills, attitudes, and utilization was used in this study for translation and psychometric validation.

Using a large health insurance database in Japan, we examined the real-world usage of budesonide enteric-coated capsules (BUD) in treating Crohn's disease. We analyzed data from the Japan Medical Data Center claims database for Crohn's disease patients prescribed BUD from April 2016 to March 2021, focusing on prescription status, adverse events (AEs), monitoring tests, and concomitant medications over 2 years following BUD initiation. Patients were categorized into two groups based on BUD usage duration: ≤1 year and >1 year.

This paper reviews the important role of endoplasmic reticulum stress in the patho mechanism of liver fibrosis and its potential as a potential target for the treatment of liver fibrosis. Liver fibrosis is the result of sustained inflammation and injury to the liver due to a variety of factors, triggering excessive deposition of extracellular matrix and fibrous scar formation, which in turn leads to loss of liver function and a variety of related complications. Endoplasmic reticulum stress is one of the characteristics of chronic liver disease and is closely related to the pathological process of chronic liver disease, including alcohol-related liver disease, viral hepatitis, and liver fibrosis.

To investigate the effect of a novel coumarin derivative, ethyl 2,2-difluoro-2 - (2-oxo-2H-chromen-3-yl) acetate (C2F), on the malignant biological behaviors of colorectal cancer (CRC) and elucidate its mechanism. In vitro, the effects of C2F on the proliferation, apoptosis, migration, invasion, and cell cycle of CRC cells were analyzed by MTT assay, EdU stainning, colony formation assay, flow cytometry, wound healing and transwell assay. The anti-CRC activity of C2F was evaluated in a nude mice xenograft model in vivo.

Introduction: Tumor suppressor gene (TSG) inactivation by epigenetic modifications contributes to the carcinogenesis and progression of colorectal cancer (CRC). Expression profiling and CpG methylomics revealed that a forkhead-box transcriptional factor, FOXS1, is downregulated and methylated in CRC.
Objectives: To assess the biological functions and underlying mechanisms of FOXS1 in colorectal cancer.

Personality disorders (PDs) are psychiatric conditions characterized by enduring patterns of cognition, emotion, and behaviour that deviate significantly from cultural norms, causing distress or impairment. The aetiology of PDs is complex, involving both genetic and environmental factors. Genetic studies estimate the heritability of PDs at 30% to 60%, implicating genes involved in neurotransmitter regulation, such as those for serotonin transporters and dopamine receptors.

ITFG2 is an intracellular protein known to modulate the immune response of T-cells. Our previous investigation revealed that ITFG2 specifically targets ATP5b to regulate ATP energy metabolism and maintain mitochondrial function, thereby protecting the heart from ischemic injury. However, the role of ITFG2 in ischemic ventricular arrhythmias and its underlying mechanisms have not been previously reported.

Background: Some cancer patients derive limited benefit from anti-angiogenic therapy or discontinuation due to adverse reactions. Vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2) plays an important role in regulating angiogenesis in tumors. This study aims to evaluate the association of VEGFR2 polymorphisms with clinical outcomes of anti-angiogenic drugs (AADs) in cancer patients.

The programmed cell death 1 (PD-1)/PD-1 ligand 1 (PD-L1) axis mediates immune evasion of tumor, and targeting this axis has achieved some clinical benefits. The regulation of PD-1 expression in immune cells has been well studied. However, whether any other potential source of immune cell-expressed PD-1 exists remains unknown.

A-kinase anchoring protein 79/150 (AKAP79/150) is a crucial scaffolding protein that positions various proteins at specific synaptic sites to modulate excitatory synaptic intensity. As our understanding of AKAP79/150's biology deepens, along with its significant role in the pathophysiology of various human disorders, there is growing evidence that reveals new opportunities for therapeutic interventions. In this review, we examine the fundamental structure and primary functions of AKAP79/150, emphasizing its pathophysiological mechanisms in different nervous system disorders, particularly inflammatory pain, epilepsy, depression, and Alzheimer's disease.

Background And Aims: Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) is a psychiatric disorder characterized notably by gut microbial dysbiosis and insufficient dietary fiber intake. This study aims to investigate the effect of dietary fiber placebo-controlled intervention in patients suffering from AUD during a three-week period of alcohol withdrawal, in order to discover microbial-derived metabolites that could be involved in metabolic and behavioral status.
Methods: A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study was performed with 50 AUD patients supplemented with inulin (prebiotic dietary fiber) or maltodextrin (placebo) during 17 days.

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a highly heterogeneous and aggressive blood cancer. Genetic abnormalities, such as the t(8;21) rearrangement, play a significant role in AML onset. This rearrangement leads to the formation of the RUNX1/RUNX1T1 fusion protein, disrupting gene regulation and genomic stability, ultimately causing full-blown leukemia.

Riverbank filtration is a cost-effective and efficient method for drinking water production, using the natural filtration capacity of the river gravelbed. Removal efficiency for organic micropollutants (OMP) in field studies is generally calculated by comparing the concentrations measured in surface water and in the wells either on the same day or with a shift of fixed time interval, neither of which can account for the variability of surface water quality and travel time in the aquifer. The present study proposes a novel method based on travel time distribution determined by a numerical transport model with a hypothesis that it will provide more reliable estimate for OMP removal.

This study aimed to profile metabolites from five Trichoderma strains and assess their cytotoxic and pharmacological activities, particularly targeting oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). UHPLC-TOF-MS analysis revealed the presence of 25 compounds, including heptelidic acid, viridiol isomers, and sorbicillinol from the different Trichoderma extracts. Pharmacokinetic analysis showed moderate permeability and low interaction with P-glycoprotein, suggesting good drug absorption with minimal interference in cellular uptake.
