Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is increasing worldwide in parallel with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Identifying diagnostic biomarkers for DN at an early stage is crucial due to the considerable societal and economic burden associated with diabetes mellitus (DM) and its risk factors. In the past, early indicators of microvascular problems, such as microalbuminuria (MA), have been used to predict the possibility of developing advanced chronic kidney disease (CKD).

Breast cancer presents a significant global health challenge, ranking highest incidence rate among all types of cancers. Functionalised nanocarriers offer a promising solution for precise drug delivery by actively targeting cancer cells through specific receptors, notably folate receptors. By overcoming the limitations of passive targeting in conventional therapies, this approach holds the potential for enhanced treatment efficacy through combination therapy.

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a serious global concern and a huge burden on the healthcare system. Antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) are considered as a solution of AMR due to their membrane-lytic and intracellular mode of action and therefore resistance development against AMPs is less frequent. One such AMPs, temporin-L (TL) is a 13-mer peptide reported as a potent and broad-spectrum antibacterial agent with significant immunomodulatory activity.

It is a well-known fact that cancer is considered the second leading cause of mortality across the globe. Although the human oral cavity and intestine are the natural habitat of thousands of microbes, dysbiosis results in malignancies, such as oral squamous cell carcinoma and colorectal cancer. Amongst the intestinal microbes, H.

Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is a multi-factorial endocrine disorder affecting women of reproductive age. However, its high prevalence and the unsuccessful translation of conventional modalities have made PCOS a pharmaco-therapeutic challenge. In the present study, we explored bi-formulations (comprising metformin-loaded mucus-penetrating nanoparticles, MTF-MPPs, and myoinositol-loaded mucus-penetrating particles, MI-MPPs) incorporated in a carbomer gel tailored for intravaginal administration.

Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a heterogeneous tumor with a poor prognosis and high metastatic potential, resulting in poor clinical outcomes, necessitating investigation to devise effective therapeutic strategies. Multiple studies have substantiated the anti-cancer properties of the naturally occurring flavonoid "Myricetin" in various malignancies. However, the therapeutic application of Myricetin is impeded by its poor water solubility and low oral bioavailability.

Based on our previous report, the study was extended to investigate the impact of miconazole nitrate (MCN) loaded cationic/anionic nanoemulsions and nanoemulsion gels on permeation behaviour across artificial-membrane, EpiDerm, and rat skin. Nanoemulsions and gels were evaluated for size, charge, viscosity, size-distribution, pH, and percent entrapment efficiency (%EE). In vitro drug diffusion across artificial membrane and EpiDerm were conducted to get diffusion coefficients.

Tyrosine-protein kinase BLK, also known as B-cell lymphocyte kinase (BLK), is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase that is primarily expressed in B-cells. BLK plays a key role in B-cell signaling, particularly in B-cell development and maturation. The increased expression of BLK has been linked to various complex diseases, including autoimmune disorders, and specific malignancies of B cells, such as lymphomas and leukemias.

Despite the existence of modern antidiabetic medications, diabetes still affects millions of individuals worldwide, with a high death and disability rate. There has been a concerted search for alternative natural medicinal agents; luteolin (LUT), a polyphenolic molecule, might be a good choice, both because of its efficacy and because of it having fewer side effects, compared to conventional medicines. This study aims to explore the antidiabetic potential of LUT in diabetic rats, induced by streptozotocin (STZ; 50 mg/kg b.

Treatment of Ischemic Stroke is inordinately challenging due to its complex aetiology and constraints in shuttling therapeutics across blood-brain barrier. Ropinirole hydrochloride (Rp), a propitious neuroprotectant with anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-apoptotic properties (3A) is repurposed for remedying ischemic stroke and reperfusion (I/R) injury. The drug's low bioavailability in brain however, limits its therapeutic efficacy.
