The most common type of intraepidermal squamous neoplasia is actinic keratosis (AK), although there is compelling clinicopathological evidence of a second distinct pattern of squamous dysplasia termed Bowen disease (BD). Migration of tattoo pigment to axillary lymph nodes mimicking calcifications is a recognized phenomenon, however, pigment in an intra-mammary node masquerading as a breast mass is a rare complication of cosmetic tattoos. As the prevalence of tattooing increases among women presenting to Breastscreen, radiologists may expect to encounter this lesion mimicking a breast neoplasm. We present a 50-year-old female with extensive tattoos on her arms, chest wall and abdomen, recalled for a small calcified breast mass on her first screening mammogram.

We present a 28-year-old remote-living male who presented to our dermatology clinic with increasing pruritus over his torso and limbs in the context of a recent admission for Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN) secondary to paliperidone depot. Our case demonstrates that pruritus in the re-epithelialising phase of TEN may be a sign of abnormal scarring. Early assessment and measurement for compression garments is recommended.

Cutaneous malignant melanoma can show a wide range of cytomorphological variability, in particular exhibiting a rhabdoid appearance is not uncommon in melanoma cells; however, the phenomenon of "dedifferentiation" with loss of melanocytic immunohistochemical properties and expression of skeletal muscle immunomarkers is exceedingly rare. Owing to the rarity of such melanomas, their clinicopathological features and molecular profile remain largely unknown. In this report, we describe the clinical, immunomorphological, and molecular features of melanomas with rhabdomyosarcomatous dedifferentiation by presenting a new case and exploring the literature for the previously reported cases.

Background: Diagnosing urinary tract infections (UTIs) in children in the emergency department (ED) is challenging due to the variable clinical presentations and difficulties in obtaining a urine sample free from contamination. Clinicians need to weigh a range of observations to make timely diagnostic and management decisions, a difficult task to achieve without support due to the complex interactions among relevant factors. Directed acyclic graphs (DAG) and causal Bayesian networks (BN) offer a way to explicitly outline the underlying disease, contamination and diagnostic processes, and to further make quantitative inference on the event of interest thus serving as a tool for decision support.
