The Needs for Visual Improvement of Patients Presented at Low-Vision Center in Wenzhou, China.

Purpose: To characterize the needs for visual improvement of new-visit patients with low vision.

Methods: This cross-sectional study collected detailed information of patients presented at low-vision center of the Eye Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University between January 2015 and January 2017. A questionnaire interview, including demographic information and needs for visual improvement, was conducted before ophthalmology examinations.

The efficacy and safety of Retcam in detecting neonatal retinal hemorrhages.

Background: To investigate the ability of characterizing neonatal retinal hemorrhage (RH) using RetCam in healthy newborns and the systemic effects during the procedure.

Methods: This prospective study enrolled 68 healthy newborns aged 2 to 4 days old. The RH was imaged and classified according to the location and numbers of hemorrhages.

Development of an Elderly Low Vision Quality of Life Questionnaire for less-developed areas of China.

Purpose: To develop a quality of life questionnaire appropriate for elderly low-vision patients in less-developed areas of China.

Methods: The study was conducted at the Wenzhou Medical University Affiliated Eye Hospital. In the initial development of the questionnaire, we identified visual function concerns with individual interviews and designed a questionnaire and an empirical assessment of the questionnaire.
