During adolescence, empathy and prosocial behavior contribute to the establishment of positive interpersonal relationships and social connections, promoting holistic development in youth. A substantial amount of research has provided compelling evidence that there is a relationship between peer relationships and empathy and prosocial behavior. Empathy, as a key mediating factor, links the influence of peers with prosocial behavior in adolescents, yet there is currently a lack of robust meta-analytic evidence regarding this mediating role.

Materials And Methods: In 70 (20 male and 50 female) healthy adults (18 to 55 years old), frontal and lateral view intraoral images (210) of plaque disclosing agent stained permanent and deciduous dentitions were obtained.

Inflammation plays an important role in depression, and the neutrophil-to-albumin ratio (NPAR) is a cost-effective and readily available novel biomarker of inflammation. The association between NPAR and depression is unclear; therefore, to assess the relationship between NPAR and depression, we conducted a cross-sectional study of 33,768 participants ≥ 18 years of age from the 2005-2018 NHANES database. In this cross-sectional study, we aimed to identify subgroups of job satisfaction and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in Chinese male nurses and examine the factors associated with subgroup profiles. A convenience sample of 626 Chinese male nurses were enrolled from January to October 2021. Latent profile analysis was performed to identify profiles based on self-esteem, psychological resilience, social support, neuroticism, perceived prejudice, occupational stress, job satisfaction, and HRQoL.

Background: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is the fourth leading cause of death worldwide and constitutes a global health problem. The cardiometabolic index (CMI) is a new metric that combines abdominal obesity and lipid levels. Studies have shown that the prevalence of lipid metabolism disorders is greater among COPD patients and that the CMI can help reveal the potential role of lipid metabolism in disease progression by assessing the body's metabolic status; however, the association between the CMI and COPD is not known.
