Path analysis of factors influencing registered nurses' safety behavior in China: A mediation effect model.

Objective: This study aims to examine the current state, influencing factors, and pathways of safety behavior among registered nurses in China, thereby providing a theoretical framework for enhancing safety behavior levels among registered nurses.

Methods: The research involved the recruitment of registered nurses in Chongqing, China, utilizing the snowball sampling technique from July 2022 to May 2023.

Results: A total of 3244 registered nurses from 115 hospitals in Chongqing participated in the study.

Prevalence and Factors Associated With Depression and Depressive Symptoms Among Chinese Older Persons: An Integrative Review.

China is the country with the largest population of older persons. Depression is the most common mental health issue among older adults, a trend expected to increase as societies continue to age. With the global increase in depression and depressive symptoms among this demographic, the resulting disease burden poses a significant challenge to health and social care systems in China.

The Mental Health Literacy and Stigma Scale-Bilingual Cultural Adaptation: Validity and Reliability Pilot Study in Nursing Students.

Aim: To describe and evaluate the psychometric properties (reliability and construct validity) of the Mental Health Literacy and Stigma Scale-Bilingual (MHLaSS-B).

Design: This is a methodological study designed in a convenience sample of 271 Portuguese and Spanish nursing students who volunteered to participate in the research.

Methods: The Mental Health Literacy and Stigma Scale-Bilingual version (Spanish and Portuguese) was used for data collection.

Educational Challenges for Post-Graduate Nursing Students Throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Scoping Review.

The COVID-19 pandemic had immediate impact on nursing students enrolled in postgraduate and post-registration nursing courses. Some students were required to undertake additional clinical hours and place their studies on hold, while others had clinical experiences and face-to-face classes suspended, with online learning modes quickly mobilized. While there have been many reports on the impact and experience of these changes on undergraduate students, limited reports have focused on challenges for nursing students who were registered for practice following completion of their undergraduate studies, and were enrolled in higher degree, postgraduate education programs.

Prior studies investigating its underpinning neural mechanisms have not often considered how brain signals evolve over time, so it remains unclear whether brain dynamics are altered in OUD and have subsequent behavioral implications.

Methods: We analysed the radiographic images and data of 1642 participants aged ≥60 years (mean, 75.6 years).

Advanced practice nursing in Brazil: bibliometric analysis of dissertations and theses.

Objective: To analyze the scientific production on Advanced Practice Nursing based on dissertations and theses published in Brazil.

Method: A bibliometric study, with a descriptive approach based on documents, carried out in the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel Theses and Dissertations Bank, Scientific Electronic Library Online, Virtual Health Library, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences and institutional repositories, from October to November 2023.

Results: Of the 25 scientific productions identified, 16 are dissertations and nine are theses.

Objectives: This study aimed to assess the levels and determinants of health-promoting behaviors (HPBs) and their correlations between HPBs, anxiety, depression, and social support among nursing students.

Design And Methods: A cross-sectional, correlational study was performed from March to June 2024 with 268 nursing students in the College of Nursing at the University of Hail using a self-structured questionnaire. Data were analyzed using t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson's correlation, and multiple stepwise regression.

Barriers to and impacts of hepatitis C treatment among people who inject drugs in Kenya: A qualitative study.

Hepatitis C (HCV) disproportionately affects people who inject drugs (PWID). Despite availability of safe and effective treatment, HCV treatment access and uptake among PWID in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) has been limited. Understanding the lived experiences of PWID in these settings who have undergone treatment provides the opportunity to gain insight into how to implement treatment programs that meet the needs of this population.

Racism, homophobia, and the sexual health of young Black men who have sex with men in the United States: A systematic review.

Black gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (BMSM) experience the highest rates of HIV acquisition annually out of any population in the United States, and young BMSM (YBMSM) are heavily impacted by this inequity as they enter adulthood. Despite a high annual HIV incidence, extant literature has found BMSM to engage in fewer sexual risk behaviors than White and Hispanic/Latino men who have sex with men, resulting in a gap between risk behaviors and the inequity of HIV infection. Structural factors, such as racism and homophobia, are thus being examined in order to understand this disconnect between behavior and HIV incidence.

This paper examines various clinical and non-clinical applications of Gen AI. In clinical settings, Gen AI supports the creation of customized treatment plans, generation of synthetic data, analysis of medical images, nursing workflow management, risk prediction, pandemic preparedness, and population health management.

Exploring early postoperative core symptoms in Chinese patients with primary liver cancer: a cross-sectional and longitudinal network analysis.

Background: Patients with primary liver cancer (PLC) experience a range of symptoms in the early postoperative period. Symptoms include cancer-related symptoms and adverse effects of treatment. Exploring the core symptoms and their dynamics in the early post-hepatectomy patients may help provide better symptom management programs.

Predictive risk model of mild cognitive impairment in patients with malignant haematological diseases after haematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

Objective: This study is to develop and validate a robust risk prediction model for mild cognitive impairment (MCI) in patients with malignant haematological diseases after haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT).

Methods: In this study, we analysed the clinical data of the included patients. Logistic regression analysis was used to identify independent risk factors for cognitive impairment after HSCT in patients with malignant haematological diseases, and a risk prediction model was constructed.

Design, Setting, And Participants: In this cohort study, geriatrics-focused primary care and traditional primary care patient dyads matched on variables associated with geriatrics-focused primary care entry and outcomes were enrolled from VA medical centers with operational geriatrics-focused primary care clinics serving 500 or more patients annually in fiscal year 2016.

Nutrition literacy in Vietnamese pregnant women: a cross-sectional study.

Inadequate nutrition intake during pregnancy elevates the risk of adverse health outcomes during pregnancy, with potential long-term repercussions for both mother and child, extending to subsequent generations. Current initiatives to improve individual dietary habits emphasize promoting nutrition literacy (NL), which encompasses the ability to access, comprehend, and use basic nutrition information and services necessary for making appropriate nutrition decisions. However, there were limited data on the NL of pregnant women in Vietnam.

The State of Palliative Care in South Dakota.

As numbers of patients living with chronic diseases are increasing, there is a growing demand for physicians who have knowledge to provide interventions that align with the goals of palliative care. The increasing number of patients living with chronic disease creates a challenge for the healthcare landscape of South Dakota. Even though South Dakota has a growing number of fellowship trained and board certified palliative and hospice physicians to help meet patient needs, there is a shortage of providers to meet the demand.
