The Australian Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE) registered trademark signifies quality care and education to those with diabetes. A review of the Australian Diabetes Educators Association (ADEA) CDE pathway was undertaken to ensure the quality of the CDE credential. The purpose of this study was to examine perceptions of the diabetes education workforce on the current pathway for educating and qualifying CDEs for practice.

Background: Healthcare professionals in the hospital setting frequently assume primary caregiving responsibilities, which often leads family members to perceive this as standard practice during hospitalization. This dynamic may create a gap between actual and desired levels of family involvement. Cross-cultural adaptation of the simple Chinese version of the medication adherence reasons scale in patients undergoing adjuvant endocrine therapy for breast cancer.

Adjuvant endocrine therapy (AET) is essential for improving survival and reducing mortality and recurrence rates in breast cancer (BrCa) patients. However, the adherence to AET among BrCa patients is poor, and there is no scale to measure adherence to AET or the reasons for non-adherence among BrCa patients in mainland China. The aim of this study was to assess the psychometric properties of the simple Chinese version of the Medication Adherence Reasons (MAR) scale in BrCa patients undergoing AET.

Impact of variables on recovery time in patients undergoing hemodialysis: an international survey.

Background: Dialysis recovery time (DRT) refers to the period during which fatigue and weakness subside following hemodialysis treatment, allowing patients to resume their daily routines. This study aimed to identify the factors influencing DRT in hemodialysis patients in Turkey and Portugal, where the prevalence of chronic kidney disease is notably high.

Methods: A cross-sectional observational study was conducted in a private dialysis center in Turkey and three dialysis centers in Portugal.

Remotely delivered weight management for people with long COVID and overweight: the randomized wait-list-controlled ReDIRECT trial.

Long COVID (LC) is a complex multisymptom condition with no known disease-modifying treatments. This wait-list-controlled open-label trial tested whether a remotely delivered structured weight management program could improve respective LC symptoms in people living with overweight. Adults with LC (symptoms >12 weeks) and body mass index >27 kg m (>25 kg m for South Asians) were randomized (n = 234, 1:1) to control (n = 116, usual care) or the remotely delivered structured weight management (n = 118, total diet replacement (850 kcal per day) for 12 weeks, followed by food reintroduction and weight loss maintenance support) via minimization and randomization (80:20) to balance dominant LC symptom, sex, age, ethnicity and postcode-based index of multiple deprivation between groups.

Current intimate partner violence (IPV) during pregnancy was found to be associated with adverse health outcomes including pregnancy loss, preterm labor, pregnancy complications, hypertension, delivering low birth weight baby, physical injuries and stress. IPV in Ethiopia is considerably high. This study aimed at determining the prevalence of the IPV during the index pregnancy as measured at six weeks postpartum among women in their extended six weeks postpartum period and identify its correlates.

Pilot Testing Digital Stories to Influence College Men's Intentions to Vaccinate Against HPV.

College men are among those least likely to be vaccinated against the human papillomavirus (HPV). Viewing digital stories from other college men who were vaccinated against HPV as young adults may help influence them to seek the vaccine. Guided by the Theory of Planned Behavior, this research reports on the creation and pilot testing of digital stories to increase college men's intentions to vaccinate against HPV.

The Association of HIV Criminalization Law and Disparities in Transplant Education among People with HIV.

While people with HIV (PWH) experience high rates of end-stage kidney disease (ESKD), they were historically denied kidney transplantation and prohibited from organ donation, both elements of treating ESKD. It remains unknown to what extent such HIV criminalization laws correlate with the provision of transplantation education to PWH. We conducted this study to elucidate the relationship between these structural-level policies and individual-level outcomes.

Materials And Methods: Carious dentin was collected from D2 (n = 23) and D3 (n = 24) lesions in posterior teeth from 31 individuals.
