Aim: To explore white matter (WM) tracts linked to impulsivity using the diffusion magnetic resonance imaging (DMRI) connectometry method.
Methods: We analyzed 218 healthy participants from the Leipzig Study for Mind-Body-Emotion Interactions database. Impulsivity correlations with DMRI-derived WM changes were assessed using Urgency-Premeditation-Perseverance-Sensation (UPPS) Impulsive Behavior Scale subscales: lack of perseverance (PE), lack of premeditation (PM), sensation seeking (SS), and negative urgency.

Background And Aims: COVID-19 patients might be admitted to the hospital based on their clinical manifestations or to the intensive care unit (ICU) due to the severity of their symptoms or critical situation. Our main objective was to investigate clinical and demographic factors influencing COVID-19 patients' admission to the ICU and length of stay (LOS) using extracted data from the hospital information systems in Iran.
Methods: The data of hospitalized patients with confirmed COVID-19 were retrieved from the health information system of Imam Khomeini Hospital Complex, Tehran, Iran between March 2020 and February 2022.

Background And Aims: Critical appraisal or risk of bias assessment is a fundamental part of systematic reviews that clarifies the degree to which included research articles are qualified and reliable. Version 2 of the Cochrane tool for assessing the risk of bias in randomized trials (RoB 2), the updated version of the first tool, was released in 2019. Here, we have compared these two versions of Cochrane risk of bias assessment tools and highlighted the pros and cons of RoB 2.

Key Clinical Message: Despite the acceptable results in patients receiving organs from COVID-19-positive donors, more extensive studies over a longer period are still needed for more accurate conclusions.
Abstract: Organ transplantation is a major concern during the current COVID-19 pandemic worldwide. The use of COVID-19-positive organ donors has raised widespread concerns in the field of transplantation.
Small noncoding ribonucleic acids called microRNAs coordinate numerous critical physiological and biological processes such as cell division, proliferation, and death. These regulatory molecules interfere with the function of many genes by binding the 3'-UTR region of target mRNAs to inhibit their translation or even degrade them. Given that a large proportion of miRNAs behave as either tumor suppressors or oncogenes, any genetic or epigenetic aberration changeing their structure and/or function could initiate tumor formation and development.

Background And Aims: β-Thalassemia patients may have cardiac complications due to iron overload, which puts them at higher risk of cardiac complications induced by coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) compared with the normal population. The present study aims to evaluate early cardiovascular complications following iron overload in β-thalassemia patients who had early recovery from COVID-19 by cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and feature-tracking technique.
Methods: Thirty-two confirmed COVID-19-recovered β-thalassemia cases were evaluated within 3 weeks to 3 months after a positive reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction COVID-19 test.
