In Germany, the most frequently used legal section to order forensic mental health treatment is § 63 of the Penal Code (Strafgesetzbuch; StGB). This disposition is primarily aimed at individuals with major mental illnesses who are not fully responsible for a criminal act they committed. Despite evaluation and follow-up studies being conducted within individual hospitals or federal states we lack key epidemiological data on this patient group across the whole country.

When children participate in online sexual behaviour, such as 'sexting', there can be a range of legal and social consequences. Criminal law in Australia does not consistently address sexting, which means that in some jurisdictions, children who participate in sexting can be liable for offences related to child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Children who are 16 or 17 years old have reached the age to consent to sexual activity, yet the law, in many jurisdictions, does not allow them to participate in sexting.

Grounded in intersubjective participatory action research, the people and dancefloors project has sought to produce a space for the co-creation of knowledge about dancefloors and drug taking, building a platform for developing insights from the positionality of current drug users. Through film, it provides hermeneutic insight while legitimising their voices. In this paper, we share some reflections as researchers/users/activists arising from our involvement in the project.

A feasible, effective and non-destructive method that could be used to differentiate architectural paints was proposed by Microscopic laser Raman spectroscopy and chemometrics. A total of 252 white architectural paints from 7 different manufacturers were prepared for evaluating the potential of differentiating them. 5th Newton interpolation polynomial combined with Savitzky-Golay 7-point and 1st or 2nd polynomial smoothing under the 1st-order derivative were considered as the optimal pre-processing method for MLRM data.

In an editorial titled "We Need to Talk About Corruption in Health Systems" the authors Hutchinson, Balabanova, and McKee hope to encourage a wider conversation about corruption in the health sector. Such conversations are difficult to hold for at least five reasons; it is hard to define corruption; corruption may allow some fragile health systems to subsist, shifting blame - are those involved in anti-corruption research colluding with corrupt officials; the legitimacy of studying corruption; and, that far too little is known about how to tackle corruption. This commentary explores those reasons and concludes that the authors make a strong case for a more open and directed discussion about corruption.

Investigative interviews are complex, dyadic, and social interactions typically studied by evaluating interviewers' questioning strategies. In field settings, interviewers naturally vary in their interviewing practice. Thus, it is important to conduct research reflective of idiosyncrasies in witnesses, interviewers, and the resulting unique pairings.

Before disclosing confidential patient information for purposes not directly related to his or her care and treatment, there is currently a responsibility upon health professionals to consult with a patient wherever practicable. The Health and Social Care Act 2012 has diluted that responsibility to consult, at least in relation to any information that the Health and Social Care Information Centre requires health professionals to disclose. This is at odds with other moves to support an individual's involvement in decisions that affect them.
