Objective: Burnout in sonographers is a prevalent and complex professional hazard associated with poorer quality of work life, productivity, and patient outcomes. This study aimed to understand the prevalence of and work systems factors associated with burnout among a large sample of sonographers.

Materials And Methods: Research study registry participants (n=3659) were invited to complete a follow-up survey about personal and work environment factors, including work hours, break time, coworker and supervisor support, and job satisfaction, overall health, and sleep quality.

In recent decades, Latin America and the Caribbean region have experienced accelerated aging. However, despite the significant progress of gerontology in the region, the number of geriatricians and professionals trained in the field is low; a notable gap in the training related to the assessment of older adults can also be observed. Therefore, in this literature review, we update the concept of Comprehensive Gerontological Assessment (CGA) for its application in the region.

Background: Patellofemoral pain (PFP) is a common knee condition in young and active individuals that is managed with highly variable treatment strategies.

Objective: To determine whether the length, number of visits, and content of physical therapy care for patients with PFP differ between a Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG) adherent program and usual care. Additionally, the percentage of patients reporting clinically important improvements in patient-reported outcomes in each group was evaluated as an exploratory aim.

Objective: To report host-related and environmental factors associated with otitis media (OM), and compare the prevalence of OM in 12-month-old infants reported by parents with that predicted from audiological assessment results.

Design: A non-randomised, cross-sectional design was used. Data were collected via a parental questionnaire during children's audiology appointment at 12 months of age.

Markerless motion capture and inertial measurement units (IMUs) are continually developing biomechanics tools that need validation for dynamic movements before widespread use in applied settings. This study evaluated the validity of a markerless motion capture, IMU, and red, green, blue, and depth (RGBD) camera system as compared to marker-based motion capture during countermovement jumps, overhead squats, lunges, and runs with cuts.

Youth Soccer Heading Exposure and Its Effects on Clinical Outcome Measures.

Purposeful heading, in which players may use their heads to advance the ball in play, is a unique part of soccer. Clinical outcome measures used to aid in the diagnosis of a concussion have long been a cornerstone of the contemporary measurements associated with the short- and long-term effects of monitoring repetitive head impacts (RHI) and soccer heading exposure. The effects of RHI in the youth population are still unknown, therefore, the purpose of this study was to examine if heading exposure is predictive of changes in self-reported symptoms, neurocognitive functioning, gait, and balance in female youth soccer players over the course of one soccer season.

Impact of kidney allocation system 250 policy on 1-year graft loss.

A new deceased donor kidney allocation system (KAS250) was implemented in March 2021 that prioritizes recipients within a 250-nautical mile radius of the donor hospital. KAS250 was implemented to reduce geographic disparities in access to kidney transplantation. Studies have shown an increase in cold ischemia time (CIT) after KAS250 implementation but the impact on graft outcomes is unknown.

Objectives: Information from indocyanine green (ICG) lymphography (ICG-L) can be used to guide an individual's lymphedema therapy plan. However, the mechanisms for this clinical translation are not well described. This study proposes a novel clinical decision support tool for translating ICG-L findings into individualized lymphedema therapy plans and describes subsequent changes in plan features of manual lymphatic drainage and compression.

Purpose: The purpose of this qualitative study was to examine the perceptions of communication sciences and disorders (CSD) assistant professors in the United States related to barriers and facilitators to engaging in open science practices and identify opportunities for improving open science training and support in the field.

Method: Thirty-five assistant professors (16 from very high research activity [R1] institutions, 19 from institutions with other Carnegie classifications) participated in one 1-hr virtual focus group conducted via Zoom recording technology.
