Introduction: Excessive alcohol consumption negatively impacts physical and psychiatric health, lifestyle, and societal interactions. Chronic alcohol abuse alters brain structure, leading to alcohol use disorder (AUD), a condition requiring early diagnosis for effective management. Current diagnostic methods, primarily reliant on subjective questionnaires, could benefit from objective measures.

Several scholars, policy think tanks and advocacy groups have advocated for reviving community-based traditional irrigation systems. Traditional irrigation systems are conceptualised as sustainable and resilient alternatives to large irrigation infrastructures. But do traditional irrigation systems always represent just, sustainable, and resilient alternatives? Based on interviews, focus group discussion, ethnographic fieldwork, and archival research, the paper offers a nuanced socio-historical understanding of one such community-based irrigation system, aka the system of South Bihar, India.

This paper proposes an adaptive output feedback full state constrain (FSC) controller based on the adaptive neural disturbance observer (ANDO) for a nonlinear electro-hydraulic system (NEHS) with unmodeled dynamics. The Barrier Lyapunov Functions (BLFs) are utilized to ensure that all states of the system are specified within the constraints, and the approximation ability of radial basis function neural networks (RBFNNs) is used to cope with the unknown nonlinear functions. An adaptive neural compensation disturbance observer is elaborated to estimate the compound disturbance and oil leakage fault, effectively addressing these negative effects.

We present the Biodepot Launcher, a desktop application that facilitates installation, management and deployment of bioinformatics workflows using the Biodepot-workflow-builder (Bwb). With the new app, Bwb can be started by double-clicking on an icon, eliminating the need for typing cryptic start up commands into the terminal. This creates an end-to-end graphical and easy-to-use interface to manage and launch containerized workflows on the local computer or cloud instances.

Nanomechanical responses (force-time profiles) of crystal lattices under deformation exhibit random critical jumps, reflecting the underlying structural transition processes. Despite extensive data collection, interpreting dynamic critical responses and their underlying mechanisms remains a significant challenge. This study explores a microscopic theoretical approach to analyse critical force fluctuations in martensitic transitions.

In this study, a binary composite adsorbent based on activated carbon and phosphoric acid geopolymer foam (ACP) was prepared by combining phosphoric acid geopolymer (PAGP) with activated carbon (AC) and applied for the removal of methylene blue (MB). Activated carbon was thoroughly mixed with a mixture of fly ash and metakaolin in varying ratios, followed by phosphoric acid activation and thermal curing. The ACP adsorbent was characterized using scanning electron microscope (SEM), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrophotometer, X-ray diffractometer (XRD), surface area analyser (SAP), and thermogravimetric analyser (TGA).

This dataset is generated from real-time simulations conducted in MATLAB/Simscape, focusing on the impact of smart noise signals on battery energy storage systems (BESS). Using Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) agent known as Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO), noise signals in the form of subtle millivolt and milliampere variations are strategically created to represent realistic cases of False Data Injection Attacks (FDIA). These signals are designed to disrupt the State of Charge (SoC) and State of Health (SoH) estimation blocks within Unscented Kalman Filters (UKF).

Urbanization and population growth in India have quickened, leading to an annual generation of around 62 million tonnes of municipal solid waste (MSW). Improper management of organic waste presents a major environmental problem due to air and water pollution, soil contamination and greenhouse gas production. This research aims to develop refuse-derived fuel (RDF) as a viable option, converting waste into a high-calorific energy carrier for industrial use.

The article discusses an improved memory-event-triggered strategy for H control class of fractional-order neural networks (FONNs) with uncertainties, which are vulnerable to deception attacks. The system under consideration is simultaneously influenced by external disturbances, network-induced time delays, uncertainties, and deception attacks. The suggested enhanced memory event-triggered framework enhances communications security measures and conserves network bandwidth compared to standard control strategies.

Anxiety is a widespread mental health issue, and binaural beats have been explored as a potential non-invasive treatment. EEG data reveal changes in neural oscillation and connectivity linked to anxiety reduction; however, harmonics introduced during signal acquisition and processing often distort these findings. Existing methods struggle to effectively reduce harmonics and capture the fine-grained temporal dynamics of EEG signals, leading to inaccurate feature extraction.
