The shortfall of seafarers is a constant challenge in the shipping industry. With the development of the world economy and changes in employees' psychological indicators, seafarers' spiritual needs play an increasingly important role in their work intentions. This study proposed that seafarers' work values should be a useful explanation for the shortfall of seafarers.

Since agriculture is a major source of greenhouse gas emissions, accurately calculating these emissions is essential for simultaneously addressing climate change and food security challenges. This paper explores the critical role of trade in transferring agricultural greenhouse gas (AGHG) emissions throughout global agricultural supply chains. We develop a detailed AGHG emission inventory with comprehensive coverage across a wide range of countries and emission sources at first.

Informed trading, driven by information asymmetry and market imperfections, varies in presence across markets. This form of trading not only distorts market transaction prices and hinders resource allocation but also initiates adverse selection transactions, increasing liquidity risks and potentially precipitating market crashes, thereby impeding the market's healthy development. Utilizing information asymmetry theory and principal-agent theory, this paper analyzes data from A-share listed companies from 2011 to 2022.

In the context of the transformation of urban-rural dual economic structure, one of the important ways to realize urban-rural integrated development is to carry out county industrial structure upgrading. Based on the policy of returning home to start business as a quasi-natural experiment, this paper empirically analyzes the relationship between returning home to start business and upgrading of county industrial structure. Selecting 1997 counties across the country from 2000 to 2021 as the research sample, a multi-temporal double-difference model is used to test the impact of the place-based policy on county industrial structure and the mechanism of the impact, and the result confirms that the implementation of the pilot policy of returning home entrepreneurship plays a positive and obvious role in promoting the level of industrial development of county-level areas.

Research on geographic and socioeconomic disparities of NO attributed mortality burden is limited. This study aims to quantify the geographic and socioeconomic differences in the association between long-term exposure to NO and mortality burden in China. We estimated the all-cause mortality burden of adults over 16 years old attributable to NO exposure above 10 µg/m for 231 Chinese cities from 2015 to 2019, and geographic and socioeconomic differences .

Poverty alleviation is critical for sustainable development. Establishing a major public health emergency warning and prevention mechanism for poverty alleviation and marginal populations can effectively determine the overall risk situation and primary risk components in diverse regions. It is conducive to formulate specific policies for risk prevention and control of public health emergencies to prevent the occurrence of poverty relapses.

This study took 254 cities in China from 2011 to 2021 as samples to empirically test how the spatial correlation network characteristics and node centrality of the urban digital economy affect carbon emission performance. The research showed that ① China's urban digital economy showed an obvious network development mode, but from the perspective of network node centrality, there were still significant spatial differences, showing the hierarchical distribution law of "eastern region-central and western region" and "four core urban agglomerations-four non-core urban agglomerations." ② A significant positive correlation was observed between the digital economy spatial correlation network and carbon emission performance.

Clarifying the spatial correlation network structure from tourism transportation carbon emissions and its influencing factors is crucial for China's tourism and transportation industry to coordinate the planning of carbon reduction governance and realize the sustainable development of the tourism transportation industry. Based on inter-provincial panel data from 2001 to 2021, China's carbon emissions from tourism transportation were measured, and the modified spatial gravity model was used to construct characteristics of provincial spatial networks and their influencing factors, which were analyzed using the social network analysis method and the QAP model. The study showed that ① China's total carbon emissions from tourism and transportation have been growing slowly year by year, showing a distribution pattern of "high in the southeast and low in the northwest," with obvious differences between the eastern and western regions.

Southeast Asia's booming tourism and rapid economic growth create a unique setting to explore the interplay between economic development, tourism, and environmental sustainability. This study examines the complex interplay between tourism expansion, financial development, and environmental sustainability in Southeast Asia, specifically from 2000 to 2023. This research aims to fill gaps in previous studies, particularly within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) context, and to provide a comprehensive understanding of how tourism and financial growth impact environmental outcomes in this region.

Based on the cross-generational data of the China Family Panel Studies (CFPS) in 2010, 2014, 2018, this paper empirically explores the intergenerational transmission of household housing preference and its underlying mechanism from a perspective of intergenerational transmission. It finds that: (1) There is a distinct intergenerational transmission of housing preference. (2) For offspring under the age of 45, or those who are female, the intergenerational transmission of housing preferences from parents to their children is more pronounced.

Background: Internet searches offer an indicator of public attention and possible demand for certain things. Studying the spatiotemporal characteristics of the public's concern for vaccination can determine the spatiotemporal distribution of demand for vaccines in China, and capture the changes in the health awareness of the Chinese population, thus informing future vaccination strategies.
Methods: Based on the collection of Baidu search indices for vaccination-related keywords in 363 cities in China, This paper seeks to explore the spatiotemporal changes and regional differences in public attention toward vaccination in China by using the seasonal index, seasonal concentration index, Herfindahl index, Moran index, and Dagum Gini coefficient.

Advances in artificial intelligence (AI) are reshaping mobility through autonomous vehicles (AVs), which may introduce risks such as technical malfunctions, cybersecurity threats, and ethical dilemmas in decision-making. Despite these complexities, the influence of consumers' risk preferences on AV acceptance remains poorly understood. This study explores how individuals' risk preferences affect their choices among private AVs (PAVs), shared AVs (SAVs), and private conventional vehicles (PCVs).

This study investigates the relation between exports sophistication and CO emissions, with particular attention paid to how foreign direct investment moderates them in Asian economies from 1995 to 2020. This study investigates the influence of exports sophistication, which measures productivity and income associated with an export basket, on environmental quality. Utilizing a two-step Generalized Method of Moments (GMM), we found that exports sophistication has an inverted U-shaped relationship with CO emissions.

Optimal transport (OT) is an effective tool for measuring discrepancies in probability distributions and histograms of features. To reduce its high computational complexity, entropy-regularized OT is proposed, which is computed through Sinkhorn algorithm and can be readily integrated into neural networks. However, each time the parameters of networks are updated, both the value and derivative of OT need to be calculated.
