Background: Stroke is a pressing public health issue worldwide. This study aimed to forecast the future temporal trends and distribution characteristics of the global stroke burden.
Methods And Results: Global data on stroke incidence, prevalence, deaths, and disability-adjusted life years between 1990 and 2021 were obtained from the GBD (Global Burden of Disease) Study 2021.
Sperm quality analysis plays an important role in diagnosing infertility, which is widely implemented by computer-assisted sperm analysis (CASA) of sperm-swimming imaging from commercial phase-contrast microscopy. A well-equipped microscope comes with a high cost, increasing the burden of assessment, and it also occupies a large volume. For point-of-care testing (POCT) of sperm quality, these factors are confronted with the challenges of low-cost and portable instruments.

Percutaneous needle insertion is a minimally invasive surgery with broad medical application prospects, such as biopsy and brachytherapy. However, the currently adopted rigid needles have limitations, as they cannot bypass obstacles or correct puncture deviations and can only travel along a straight path. Bevel-tip flexible needles are increasingly being adopted to address these issues, owing to their needle body's ease of deformation and bending.

However, ovarian tissues are inevitably damaged by oxidative stress during cryopreservation, which threatens follicle survival and development, and thus affects female fertility. Therefore, reducing tissue oxidative stress injury is one of the major challenges to achieving efficient cryopreservation of ovarian tissues, especially for whole ovaries.

Herein, tungsten diselenide (WSe)-polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) nanoparticles (NPs) are synthesized through one-step solvothermal route. The WSe-PVP NPs show synergetic ice regulation ability both in the freezing and thawing processes.
