Department of Applied Chemistry, School of Applied Science, National Defense Academy of Japan, 1-10-20 Hashirimizu, Yokosuka, Kanagawa 239-8686, Japan.

Photosubstitution reactions of -[Ru(bpy)(MeCN)] with a pyrazole ligand (pzH) were studied under various conditions toward the development of a photochemical synthetic route to polypyridyl ruthenium complexes (bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine). In the absence of a base, light irradiation of an acetonitrile solution of pyrazole and -[Ru(bpy)(MeCN)] gave a mixture of the reactant and -[Ru(bpy)(pzH)(MeCN)]. In the presence of a mild base such as ,-dimethylaminopyridine, a second photosubstitution from -[Ru(bpy)(pzH)(MeCN)] to -[Ru(bpy)(pz)(pzH)] () was greatly enhanced, as confirmed by UV-vis and H nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy.

In this paper, we regard the Baidu index as an indicator of investors' attention to China's epidemic stocks. We believe that when seeking information to guide investment decisions, investor sentiment is usually affected by the information provided by the Baidu search engine, which may cause stock prices to fluctuate. Therefore, we constructed a GARCH extended model including the Baidu index to predict the return of epidemic stocks and compared it with the benchmark model.

Impacts of Metabolism and Organic Acids on Cell Wall Composition and Susceptibility to Membrane Active Antimicrobials.

ACS Infect Dis

August 2021

Institute of Pharmaceutical Science, School of Cancer and Pharmaceutical Sciences, King's College London, Franklin-Wilkins Building, 150 Stamford Street, London SE1 9NH, United Kingdom.

Reliable antimicrobial susceptibility testing is essential in informing both clinical antibiotic therapy decisions and the development of new antibiotics. Mammalian cell culture media have been proposed as an alternative to bacteriological media, potentially representing some critical aspects of the infection environment more accurately. Here, we use a combination of NMR metabolomics and electron microscopy to investigate the response of and to growth in differing rich media to determine whether and how this determines metabolic strategies, the composition of the cell wall, and consequently susceptibility to membrane active antimicrobials including colistin and tobramycin.

A non-interference AC voltage measurement system based on a resonant electric field microsensor is proposed. The equivalent circuit of the proposed system is established, which shows that the frequency response function is only related to the capacitances of the system structure in the kHz low-frequency range. Furthermore, the sensitivity analysis and experiments demonstrate that the amplitude sensitivity is independent of the frequency of an unknown AC voltage.
