Purpose: Identifying therapeutic targets for Signet Ring Cell Carcinoma (SRCC) of the colon and rectum is a clinical challenge due to the lack of Patient-Derived Organoids (PDO) or Xenografts (PDX). We present a robust method to establish PDO and PDX models to answer address this unmet need. We demonstrate that these models identify novel therapeutic strategies targeting therapy resistance and peritoneal metastasis.

This study seeks to describe this relationship from the perspective of the National Policy for Comprehensive Health of Populations of the Countryside, Forest, and Waters in the community of São Pedro, in the Lower Amazon region of Pará. This is a descriptive study focused on conducting diagnoses that consider the environment-health relationship in the Community.

Timely initiation of antenatal care in adolescent victims of sexual violence: implications for legal abortion in Brazil.

We investigated the timely initiation of antenatal care among Brazilian adolescents to support the national discussion on the gestational age limit for legal abortion. Using data from the Live Births Information System (SINASC) 2020-2022, we correlated the timely antenatal care (first quarter of pregnancy) with the adolescent's age, region, ethnicity/skin color, and schooling level; 11,607 annual births result from vulnerable rape. Social health determinants associated with mammography performance according to the 2013 and 2019 National Health Survey.

Mammography is one of the main methods available for breast cancer screening in Brazil. However, differences in timely access and performance of the exam can be highlighted based on social determinants of health, considered relevant due to their influence on the health situation of a population. Thus, the present study aimed to identify the social determinants of health associated with access to and performance of mammography in Brazilian women.

The scope of this article is to analyze the temporal trend and macro-regional distribution of the options on offer in terms of collective activities of bodily practices and physical activities (BPPA) and the number of participants in primary health care, developed by all health professionals and by Physical Education Professionals in Brazil. It involved an ecological time-series study, using data from the Health Information System for Primary Health Care (Sisab) between 2014 and 2022, which was assessed using regression analysis and Joinpoint software. The aim was to map evidence on the quality of records in the Mortality Information System (SIM) through a national scoping review of articles published up to April 2023 across five databases (PubMed, Embase, Scopus, LILACS, and SciELO). Studies focused on specific causes of death were excluded. Dimensions evaluated included accessibility, methodological clarity, coverage, completeness, reliability, consistency, non-duplication, timeliness, validity, and studies on ill-defined causes/garbage codes.

Correlation between risk factors that influence the development of children's language.

Purpose: To identify the most significant risk factors for child development through the application of two risk protocols, namely, the Protocol for the Identification of Risk Factors for Language and Speech Disorders (PIFRAL) and the Language Development Protocol (PDL).

Methods: A retrospective study was carried out with 194 children aged 0 to 5 years and 11 months who were participants of primary health care (PHC) in the municipality of São Paulo, Brazil, from 2016 to 2020. The database was thoroughly analyzed using R software, and the most relevant risk factors were correlated through statistical analysis, generating altered and unaltered PDL results.

Working Memory Deficits in School-Age Children With Cochlear Implants Are Primarily Explained by Deficits in the Processing of Auditory and Lexical Information.

Purpose: Prelingual deaf children with cochlear implants show lower digit span test scores compared to normal-hearing peers, suggesting a working memory impairment. To pinpoint more precisely the subprocesses responsible for this impairment, we designed a sequence reproduction task with varying length (two to six stimuli), modality (auditory or visual), and compressibility (sequences with more or less regular patterns). Results on 22 school-age children with cochlear implants and 21 normal-hearing children revealed a deficit of children with cochlear implants only in the auditory modality.

This study aimed to comprehensively assess the latest progress and potential applications. ChatGPT demonstrates significant potential in overcoming writing anxiety, improving writing efficiency, generating initial scientific papers, and assisting researchers and students in giving feedback.

Assessment of the content and quality of YouTube videos on retinopathy of prematurity: a cross-sectional study.

Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the quality and reliability of YouTube videos as an educational resource about retinopathy of prematurity.

Methods: Videos were sourced from YouTube using the search terms "retinopathy of prematurity" and "premature retinopathy" with the default settings. Each video was assessed on the following metrics: views, likes, dislikes, comments, upload source, country of origin, view ratio, like ratio, and video power index.

This study aimed to describe the profile and calculate the years of potential life lost (YPLL) due to liver diseases in Brazilian agricultural workers from 2017 to 2022. For this, we analyzed microdata available in the Brazilian Mortality Information System considering the underlying cause of death with codes K70-K77 (International Classsification of Disease, 10th revision - ICD-10) as the outcome of interest. Workers' profile was characterized according to sociodemographic variables and Brazilian regions, forming a comparison group with all other Brazilian workers aged from 18-69 years who died in the same period and from the same underlying cause.

This study aimed to identify the competencies required by primary health care managers for the effective performance of their functions. A systematic review was conducted according to PRISMA, in the databases PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and CINAHL, up to May 2023, in the last 10 years. Children with CVI frequently require AAC and specific interface supports, and customization may be necessary to support access and use of speech-generating devices.
