Background: Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) from type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) individuals exhibit increased adipogenesis and decreased osteogenesis. We investigated the potential of adipose tissue-derived MSCs (ADMSCs) secretome obtained from healthy individuals in restoring the tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) mediated imbalance in the adipo/osteogenic differentiation in the dental pulp-derived MSCs obtained from T2DM individuals (dDPMSCs).
Methods: dDPMSCs were differentiated into adipocytes and osteocytes using a standard cocktail in the presence of (a) induction cocktail, (b) induction cocktail + TNF-α, and (c) induction cocktail+ TNF-α + ADMSCs-secretome (50%) for 15 and 21 days resp.

In this study, p-CoO/n-TiO nanocomposites were synthesized using different ratios of cobalt and titanium precursors through a hydrothermal method. These nanocomposites demonstrated notable potential in photocatalytic applications for hydrogen production and orange-red dye degradation under sunlight. Various techniques, including XRD, Raman spectroscopy, XPS, FESEM, TEM, and BET analysis, were used to comprehensively characterize their structural, morphological, and optical properties.

Leishmaniasis, one of the neglected diseases, ranks second to malaria in the cause of parasitic mortality and morbidity. The present chemotherapeutic regimen faces the limitations of drug resistance and toxicity concerns, raising a great need to develop new chemotherapeutic leads that are orally administrable, potent, non-toxic, and cost-effective. Several research groups came forward to fill this therapeutic gap with new classes of active compounds against leishmaniasis, one such being 3,3'-diindolylmethane (DIM) derivatives.

AlCl-loaded ZnO nanoparticles have been explored as an efficient catalyst for 1,4-dihydropyridine synthesis under ambient temperature and solvent-free conditions. For this purpose, ZnO nanoparticles were synthesized by a simple solution-based precipitation technique using a stoichiometric amount of zinc sulfate and oxalic acid. The AlCl@ZnO nanocrystalline catalyst was prepared by loading 20% AlCl on ZnO nanoparticles by a simple wet-impregnation technique.

The development of time-resolved transmission electron microscopy (TEM), ultrafast electron spectroscopy and pulsed X-ray sources relies on the realization of stable and high brightness sources of ultra-short electron bunches with a long service time. The flat photocathodes implanted in thermionic electron guns have been replaced by Schottky-type or cold-field emission sources driven by ultra-fast laser. Recently, lanthanum hexaboride (LaB) nanoneedles have been reported to have high brightness and high emission stability when working in a continuous emission mode.

In a vacuum deposition technique, a sputtering stacked metallic layer followed by a thermal process for sulfur incorporation is used to obtain high-quality CZTS thin films. In this work, for fabricating CZTS thin films, we have done a 3LYS (3 layers), 6LYS, and 9LYS sequential deposition of Sn/ZnS/Cu metal stack (.

Two Schiff base complexes of copper(ii) and cobalt(iii) having the formulae [CuL] (Cu-Sal) and [CoL] (Co-Sal) (HL = 2-(((2-hydroxyethyl)imino)methyl)phenol) have been synthesized and characterized microanalytically, spectroscopically and in the case of Cu-Sal using single crystal X-ray diffraction technique. The single crystal X-ray analysis reveals a square planar geometry around Cu(ii) satisfied by phenoxide oxygen and imine nitrogen of the L ligand to generate a six membered chelate ring. The solid state structure of Cu-Sal is satisfied by varied intermolecular non-covalent interactions.

Introduction: The frequency of infections associated with multidrug resistant has risen substantially in India. The use of next-generation sequencing (NGS) techniques combined with comparative genomics has great potential for tracking, monitoring, and ultimately controlling the spread of this troublesome pathogen. Here, we investigated the whole genome sequences of 47 A from India.

Although BiI has been prepared using vacuum-based deposition techniques, there is a dearth of research studies on synthesizing this material using chemical route. The present work uses a facile spin coating method with varying rotation speeds (rpm) to fabricate BiI material thin films for photodetection applications.

Three new heteroleptic dithiocarbamate complexes with formula [M(Phen-dione)(Fcdtc)]PF (where M = Ni(ii) Ni-Fc, Cu(ii) Cu-Fc) and [Co(Phen-dione)(Fcdtc)]PF (Co-Fc) (Fcdtc = -ethanol--methylferrocene dithiocarbamate and Phen-dione = 1,10-phenanthroline-5,6-dione; PF = hexafluorophosphate) were synthesized and characterized using microanalysis, FTIR, electronic absorption spectroscopy and mass spectrometry. The solution state electronic absorption spectroscopy for all three complexes displayed a band at ∼430 nm corresponding to the ferrocene unit and another low-intensity band in the visible region arising because of the d-d transitions. These newly synthesized complexes were used as co-sensitizers for the state-of-the-art di-tetrabutylammonium -bis(isothiocyanato)bis(2,2'-bipyridyl-4,4'-dicarboxylato)ruthenium(ii) (N719) dye in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs).

First principles calculations have been performed to study the characteristic properties of Se Te ( = 5-10) clusters. The present study reveals that the properties of these small clusters are consistent with the properties of Se-Te glassy systems. Several hundred equilibrium structures obtained from a genetic algorithm based USPEX code are relaxed to their minimum energy using the VASP code.

Herein, we report SnO and SnO nanoflake/graphene for photocatalytic hydrogen generation from HO and HS under natural "sunlight" irradiation. The SnO/graphene composites were prepared by a simple hydrothermal method at relatively low temperatures (150 °C). The incorporation of graphene in SnO exhibits remarkable improvement in solar light absorption, with improved photoinduced charge separation due to formation of the heterostructure.

In the landscape of epigenetic regulation, histone deacetylase 3 (HDAC3) has emerged as a prominent therapeutic target for the design and development of candidate drugs against various types of cancers and other human disorders. Herein, we have performed ligand-based pharmacophore modeling, virtual screening, molecular docking, and MD simulations to design potent and selective inhibitors against HDAC3. The predicted best pharmacophore model 'Hypo 1' showed excellent correlation (R = 0.

Cyanobacteria are emerging as a potential source of novel, beneficial bioactive compounds. However, some cyanobacteria species can harm water quality and public health through the production of toxins. Therefore, surveying the occurrence and generating genomic resources of cyanobacteria producing harmful compounds could help develop the control methods necessary to manage their growth and limit the release contaminants into the water bodies.

A comprehensive study regarding the effect of different solvent vapours on organolead halide perovskite properties is lacking. In the present work, the impact of exposing CHNHPbI films to the vapours of commonly available solvents has been studied. The interaction with perovskite has been correlated to solvent properties like dielectric constant, molecular dipole moment, Gutmann donor number and boiling point.
