Introduction: This study investigates the significance of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) and ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase L1 (UCHL-1) in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) of patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) and peripheral neuropathy (PN).

Methods: We included 41 MS patients, 35 PN patients, and 36 controls across 5 sites. MS patient data included lesion counts, disease activity, albumin quotient, and Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) scores.

Background: Many studies evaluated the efficacy and safety of ticagrelor versus clopidogrel in patients with ischemic stroke; none of these trials included North African participants, and all of these trials comprised only participants who experienced transient ischemic attack (TIA) or minor stroke.

Objectives: We compared the efficacy and safety of ticagrelor versus clopidogrel in patients with first-ever noncardioembolic moderate or moderate-to-severe ischemic stroke.

Methods: Our trial involved 900 first-ever noncardioembolic patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS) who randomly received either loading and maintenance doses of ticagrelor or clopidogrel within the first 24 h of stroke onset.

Road traffic accidents (RTAs) are a leading cause of high-energy injuries. This case report describes the treatment of an 80-year-old patient with hypertension, pulmonary fibrosis, and morbid obesity who suffered an acetabular fracture after an RTA.

Left Middle Phalanx Tuberculous Dactylitis Masquerading as a Tumor: First Case Report in Saudi Arabia.

Tuberculous dactylitis can cause osteomyelitis, which is a rare extrapulmonary manifestation of tuberculosis, often misdiagnosed due to its nonspecific presentation and resemblance to other conditions like neoplasms. A 15-year-old male patient reported to our clinic with a 1-year history of left index finger pain and swelling following a football-related injury. Despite conservative management, the symptoms had progressively worsened over the past few months.

Walker-Warburg syndrome: A case report of congenital muscular dystrophy with hydrocephalus.

Walker-Warburg Syndrome is a genetically heterogeneous disease with autosomal recessive inheritance characterized by brain and eye deformities, profound mental retardation, congenital muscular dystrophy, and early death. This case study demonstrates a mutation on chromosome 12q14 in the TMEM5 gene (RXYLT1; 605862), which encodes a transmembrane protein with glycosyltransferase function. We aimed to investigate the characteristics of serum metabolomics in aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage patients (aSAH) with different 3-month outcomes (good = modified Rankin score: 0-3 vs. poor = mRS 4-6). We collected serum samples from 46 aSAH patients at 24 (D1) and 168 (D7) hours after injury for analysis by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry.

Method: A record-based study using a retrospective review of 255 histologically diagnosed breast biopsy reports in the histopathology department of authors from December 2016 to November 2021 was conducted. The specimens were collected from core biopsy, lumpectomy, and mastectomy.
