Synthesis, characterization and biological applications of substituted indolo[2,1-b]quinazolin-12(6H)-one based rhenium(I) organometallic compounds.

The Re(I) organometallic compounds [(Re(CO)3L1-6 )Cl], where Ligand(L) = Tryptanthrin derivatives were prepared and characterized by various spectroscopic techniques. To assess the binding capacities and binding manner, tests of Calf thymus DNA under the impact of organometallic complexes were conducted using absorption titration and viscosity measuring techniques. Data from the research mentioned above point to an intercalation type of binding, which was verified by the docking study.
