Ionizing radiation leads to the development of oxidative stress and damage to biologically important macromolecules (DNA, mitochondria, etc.), which in turn lead to cell death. In the case of radiotherapy, both cancer cells and normal cells are damaged.

Doxorubicin (DOX) is widely used in chemotherapy as an anti-tumor drug. However, DOX is highly cardio-, neuro- and cytotoxic. For this reason, the continuous monitoring of DOX concentrations in biofluids and tissues is important.

The search for novel therapeutic strategies to treat fungal diseases is of special importance nowadays given the emerging threat of drug resistance. Various particulate delivery systems are extensively being developing to enhance bioavailability, site-specific penetration, and therapeutic efficacy of antimycotics. Recently, we have designed a novel topical formulation for griseofulvin (Gf) drug, which is currently commercially available in oral dosage forms due to its limited skin permeation.

A comparative analysis of the responses of two types of acoustic waves (surface SAW and plate APW) with close frequencies and the same type of waves (SAW) with different frequencies toward various liquid vapors (water, acetone, ethanol) was carried out in this paper. Two types of films based on mycelium of higher fungus (Curtis) P. Karst () prepared by various methods were used as sensitive coatings.

An authors translation of fragments of his work "Exercitatio anatomica de structura et usu renum" with the description of the discovery as well as the works of Marcello Malpighi "Opera posthuma", which stated the priority of this discovery to Bellini and not to Bartolomeo Eustachi, is provided. The evaluation of the medical and scientific activities of Bellini by his contemporaries is given.

The contribution of astrocytes and microglia to the regulation of neuroplasticity or neurovascular unit (NVU) is based on the coordinated secretion of gliotransmitters and cytokines and the release and uptake of metabolites. Blood-brain barrier (BBB) integrity and angiogenesis are influenced by perivascular cells contacting with the abluminal side of brain microvessel endothelial cells (pericytes, astrocytes) or by immune cells existing (microglia) or invading the NVU (macrophages) under pathologic conditions. The release of gliotransmitters or cytokines by activated astroglial and microglial cells is provided by distinct mechanisms, affects intercellular communication, and results in the establishment of microenvironment controlling BBB permeability and neuroinflammation.

It has been shown that for the fixed distance between the free side of the resonator and conducting layer with increasing the surface conductivity of the layer the resonant frequency of the parallel resonance remains initially practically constant, then sharply decreases in a certain range and then insignificantly changes. For the fixed value of the layer conductivity the parallel resonant frequency increases at the increase in the gap between the resonator and layer and then achieves the saturation.

Unlabelled: THE AIM OF THE RESEARCH: increase of efficiency of urolith in vitro solution using water Blemaren medication solutions after their exposure to 2 Hz alternating magnetic field.
Materials And Methods: water solution of Blemaren medication with pH=6,15 in concentrations corresponding to single portion of medication (1 tablet m=3,5282 g per 250 ml of water) and uroliths (oxalates, urates including uncommon xanthine calculi). Composition of calculi was determined by means of X-ray tests and IR spectroscopy.

The biomechanical model of human coronary arteries was modified for improving the quality of diagnosis and surgical treatment for coronary heart disease. The problem of hemodynamics in the left coronary artery with multivessel bed disease - 45% stenosis of the anterior descending branch and 75% stenosis of the circumflex branch - was particularly considered. Numerical simulation of the coronary arterial bypass of the main trunk was carried out to estimate the functional condition of the coronary arteries after restoring myocardial blood supply by surgery.
