Introduction: Recurrent opportunistic infections are particularly common in patients infected with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). However, these opportunistic infections have also been reported in HIV-negative patients, especially those with primary immunodeficiency disorder (PID), a condition that involves a large heterogeneous group of disorders arising from defects in immune system development and/or function.

Aquaporin-4 (AQP4) is the most abundantly expressed aquaporin in the central nervous system (CNS) and is an integral component of the glymphatic system. In recent years, many studies have shown that AQP4 affects the morbidity and recovery process of CNS disorders through the glymphatic system, and AQP4 shows notable variability in CNS disorders and is part of the pathogenesis of these diseases.

This study investigated the implication of monitoring hypertensive disorders in pregnancy (HDP) to prevent preeclampsia (PE) in pregnant women of advanced maternal age. Between January 2016 and April 2021, 262 consecutive pregnant women aged ≥40 years were recruited. Extensive monitoring of hypertensive disorders in pregnancy, including blood hypercoagulability screening and subsequent interventions, was performed in 129 pregnant women in our university hospital.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of long-term physical therapy on improving motor symptoms or daily activities in Parkinson's patients with drug use or discontinuation, as well as its impact on drug treatment dose. A subgroup analysis was conducted on different treatment methods to determine the most effective treatment method.

Methods: Using the literature review method, the English database PubMed was retrieved to obtain relevant research literature, and the selected studies were analyzed and evaluated.

Results: 14 clinical studies were included in this study, with a total of 1027 patients, including 681 in the aerobic training group and 409 in the control group.

Methods: Two reviewers independently searched PubMed and Embase databases up to September 30, 2021 for cohort studies that reported gender-specific impact of cognitive impairment detected by the mini-mental state examination (MMSE) on all-cause mortality in elderly general population (aged ≥60 years) in the same study.
