The accuracy of multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) heavily relies on image quality, as evidenced by the evolution of the prostate imaging quality (PI-QUAL) scoring system for the evaluation of clinically significant prostate cancer (csPC). This study aims to evaluate the impact of PI-QUAL scores in detecting csPC within PI-RADS 4 and 5 lesions. We retrospectively selected from our database all mpMRI performed from January 2019 to March 2022.

Available evidence from randomized clinical trials is contrasting and definitely inconclusive in determining whether or not CoQ dietary supplementation is advisable in patients with statin intolerance or poor statin tolerability. This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study aimed at investigating the effect of chronic dietary supplementation with coenzyme Q (CoQ) phytosome on physical performance in older adults with a ≥3-month history of statin-associated asthenia. The study's participants were randomized to either a placebo or 300 mg daily CoQ phytosome (equivalent to 60 mg CoQ; Ubiqsome, Indena SpA, Milan, Italy).

Background: Currently no curative treatment exists for spinocerebellar ataxias (SCAs). Riluzole repurposing was proposed as a symptomatic treatment in different types of cerebellar ataxia. We report a long-term-follow up under riluzole treatment in SCA type 7.

Introduction: Myotonic dystrophy type 1 (DM1) is an autosomal dominant disease characterized by myotonia and progressive muscular weakness and atrophy. The aim of this study was to investigate the usefulness of longitudinal muscle MRI in detecting disease activity and progression in DM1, and to better characterize muscle edema, fat replacement and atrophy overtime.
Materials And Methods: This is a prospective, observational, longitudinal study including 25 DM1 patients that performed at least two muscle MRIs.

Introduction: Spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD) is a rare cause of acute myocardial infarction (AMI), which primarily affects young women without traditional cardiovascular risk factors, often presenting as sudden cardiac death. This study aims to investigate the prevalence, characteristics, predictors, and outcomes of cardiac arrest in SCAD patients.
Methods: The DISCO IT/SPA registry, an international retrospective multicenter study, enrolled 375 SCAD patients from 26 centers in Italy and Spain.

Background: Penile cancer (PeCa) is a rare disease. HPV infection, smoking, phimosis, and lichen sclerosus represent well-known associated risk factors.
Objectives: Primary aim of our study is to evaluate the incidence and risk factors of PeCa and to outline the adopted diagnostic and therapeutic approaches.

Background: Increasing evidence suggests that diabetes increases the risk of developing different types of cancer. Hyperinsulinemia, hyperglycemia and chronic inflammation, characteristic of diabetes, could represent possible mechanisms involved in cancer development in diabetic patients. At the same time, cancer increases the risk of developing new-onset diabetes, mainly caused by the use of specific anticancer therapies.

To compare perioperative outcomes of patients treated with sutureless off-clamp robotic partial nephrectomy (sl-oc RAPN) by either a novice or an expert robotic surgeon at two different institutions. Data concerning two continuous series of patients with cT1-2N0M0 renal tumors treated with sl-oc RAPN either by a novice or an expert surgeon were extracted from prospectively populated institutional databases over the last 4 years. Perioperative outcomes as well as the baseline characteristics of patients and tumors were compared by using χ and Mann-Whitney tests for categorical and continuous variables, respectively.

: Standard oblique cages cannot cover endplates side-to-side, which is an important biomechanical factor for reducing the risk of cage subsidence and for restoring correct segmental lordosis. The aim of this study is to evaluate the radiological and clinical results of a new oblique lumbar interbody fusion (OLIF) axially expandable cage. : This is a prospective observational case-control study.

Hypertension represents one of the primary and most common risk factors leading to the development of heart failure (HF) across the entire spectrum of left ventricular ejection fraction. A large body of evidence has demonstrated that adequate blood pressure (BP) control can reduce cardiovascular events, including the development of HF. Although the pathophysiological and epidemiological role of hypertension in the development of HF is well and largely known, some critical issues still deserve to be clarified, including BP targets, particularly in HF patients.

Objectives: To investigate the lymph node invasion (LNI) rate in patients exhibiting complete pathological response (CR) to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC) and to test the association of CR status with lower LNI and better survival outcomes.
Materials And Methods: We included patients with bladder cancer (BCa; cT2-4a; cN0; cM0) treated with NAC and radical cystectomy (RC) + pelvic lymph node dissection (PLND) at our institution between 2012 and 2022 (N = 157). CR (ypT0) and LNI (ypN+) were defined at final pathology.

The efficacy of hyaluronic acid instillations as therapy for patients with Interstitial Cystitis/Bladder Pain Syndrome (IC/BPS) has been demonstrated in some clinical studies, with response rates up to 70%. The aim of the study is to investigate the change in symptoms and quality of life in female patients with IC/BPS after intravesical instillations of hyaluronic acid used as first-line treatment. A retrospective single-center cohort study was conducted.

Leptomeningeal carcinomatosis (LC) is a rare site of metastasis in solid tumors, and it is associated with poor prognosis due to disabling symptoms and a scarcity of treatment options. This condition is an uncommon entity in gastric cancer (GC). We present a case of primary LC manifestation in a patient with an incidental diagnosis of localized node-negative GC.
