Objectives: In this study, our primary objectives were to validate the palliative prognostic index (PPI) tool in the context of palliative care for patients with advanced cancer. Specifically, we aimed to assess the accuracy of the PPI in predicting actual survival in these patients through prospective validation.
Materials And Methods: To achieve our objectives, we enrolled a cohort of 227 advanced cancer patients receiving palliative care.

Ependymomas are rare glial tumors that commonly arise from the lining cells of ventricular system and constitute ~10% of intracranial pediatric malignancies. The incidence of ependymoma in adults is rare. Due to close approximation with the ventricular system, subtentorial ependymomas are more prone to show cerebrospinal fluid metastasis compared with supratentorial ependymomas.

Minimally invasive parathyroidectomy (MIP) is the standard of care for primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT). Four dimensional computed tomography(4DCT) and F-18 Fluorocholine positron emission tomography/computed tomography (FCH PET/CT) localize adenomas accurately to perform MIP. We aimed to conduct a systematic review and metanalysis to evaluate the diagnostic performance of 4DCT and FCH PET/CT scan for quadrant wise localisation in PHPT patients and to do head-to-head comparison between these two modalities.

Early T-cell precursor ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukemia) is a rare type of childhood and adult T-cell ALL. Disease recurrence is common within 2 years from the time of initial diagnosis. Outcomes of relapse have been characterized through risk stratification schemes, and one of the major determinants of overall survival is the overall tumor burden and sites of relapse.

Objective: To evaluate the bioequivalence of a hybrid pegylated liposomal doxorubicin (PLD) hydrochloride injection with reference product Caelyx®.
Methods: This multicenter, open-label, balanced, randomized, two-treatment, two-period, two-sequence, single-dose, crossover, bioequivalence study was conducted in female patients aged ≥18 years and ≤75 years with ovarian cancer, whose disease progressed or recurred after platinum-based chemotherapy, and who were scheduled to start PLD therapy. Patients were intravenously infused drugs over 1 h at 50 mg/m dose two hours after breakfast on the first day of the chemotherapy cycle in period-I and crossed over to the other arm in period-II (day 29).

Breast cancer is a public health challenge globally as well as in India. Improving outcome and cure requires appropriate biomarker testing to assign risk and plan treatment. Because it is documented that significant ethnic and geographical variations in biological and genetic features exist worldwide, such biomarkers need to be validated and approved by authorities in the region where these are intended to be used.
