Aim: Pelvic binder application is one of the life-saving interventions used in pelvic trauma. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of a pelvic binder training program on the knowledge, skills, attitudes and competence levels of emergency department nurses.
Methods: The study was conducted with 35 emergency department nurses using a one-group pretest-posttest design.

Aim: Extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy is a commonly used method to break down kidney stones in urology clinics. This study aims to investigate whether or not listening to music is effective against state anxiety in patients undergoing kidney stone treatment with this method.
Methods: A total of 80 patients (50 males, 30 females) undergoing extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy for the first time at our clinic were included in the study.
Background: Endothelial cell-specific molecule 1 (ESM-1 or endocan) is an immunoinflammatory marker strongly associated with inflammation, vascular endothelial dysfunction and atherosclerosis. We explored the relationship between serum endocan concentrations and coronary in-stent restenosis (ISR).
Methods: Fifty consecutive patients with ISR and 50 control subjects were included in this study.

Background: Epidural fibrosis is a major problem after spine surgery, with some patients having recurrent symptoms secondary to excessive formation of scar tissue resulting in neurologic compression. We used a rat laminectomy model to determine if topical application of boric acid could be helpful in the prevention of epidural fibrosis.
Methods: Rats were randomly assigned to 2 control and 2 experimental groups (n = 8 for each group).
