Background: Within the rapidly evolving healthcare landscape in Japan, digital marketing innovations are transforming pharmaceutical and medical device marketing. This study explores the emergence of new business models in the digital marketing, highlighting a transition from traditional methods to more dynamic, data-driven strategies.

Methods: InsighTCROSS is a business model that qualitatively and quantitatively examines three steps based on stratified persona images: (1) verifying the effectiveness of product marketing promotions, (2) identifying competitors from the users' perspective, and (3) developing marketing strategies to counter competition.

Selection Criteria in the Era of Perfect Competition for Drug-Eluting Stents in Association With Operator Volumes: An Operator-Volume Analysis of the Selection DES Study.

Background: This study aimed to explore the factors influencing the drug-eluting stent (DES) selection criteria of cardiologists in association with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) volumes and to determine whether they value further DES improvements and modifications.

Methods: The survey was conducted on a group of cardiologist operators from April 10 to 30, 2023.

Results: The analysis included 126 operators who answered the questions.

Selection criteria for anticoagulants: survey of Japanese cardiologists based on their daily clinical practice: the Selection DOAC study.

Background: In patients with atrial fibrillation (AF), direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) have been utilized as an alternative to warfarin, which is known to have several limitations. This study aimed to clarify the selection criteria for anticoagulants, considering both individual patient factors and the differences between various drugs.

Methods: This study conducted a web-based questionnaire from September 20, 2023 to October 3, 2023, among physicians who were members of a cardiology-specific website.

Effect of the Japanese medical office system on job satisfaction, loyalty, engagement, and organizational commitment of medical practitioners: a survey of cardiologists in the acute care setting.

Background: In Japan, medical doctors have traditionally been assigned from university medical offices, under the medical office system. The present study examined the effects of the medical office system on job satisfaction, engagement, loyalty, and organizational commitment among cardiologists.

Methods: In this study, a survey of 156 cardiologists was conducted, from April 22, 2023, to May 21, 2023, to examine the effect of the medical office system on employee job satisfaction, employee engagement, and organizational commitment.

Effect of probiotics on mother-to-neonate vertical transmission of group B streptococci: A prospective open-label randomized study.

Background: Group B Streptococci (GBS) are common vaginal bacteria found in 20-30% of pregnant women and a significant cause of invasive infections in newborns. Recently, attention has been focused on the efficacy of probiotics during the perinatal period. However, the effect of probiotic intake on the mother-to-child transmission (MTCT) of GBS remains unknown.

Development of the Training Program on Child Abuse Prevention for Citizens (TCAP-C) and Its Effects and Acceptability: Community-Based Participatory Research.

Aim: We developed the Training Program on Child Abuse Prevention for Citizens (TCAP-C) and tested its effects and acceptability among citizen leaders (CLs).

Methods: Community-based participatory research using a pretest-posttest follow-up design was conducted in Tokyo, Japan from September 2021 to March 2022. Participants completed questionnaires before, upon completion, and one month and three months after TCAP-C.

Acetabular cartilage abnormalities in elderly patients with femoral neck fractures.

Introduction: Both hemiarthroplasty (HA) and total hip arthroplasty (THA) are widely accepted surgical procedures for hip replacement following displaced femoral neck fractures. However, in cases involving an intact joint line before surgery, the choice between HA and THA remains debatable. This study investigated the prevalence of acetabular cartilage and labral abnormalities in elderly patients with femoral neck fractures.

Characteristics and antimicrobial choice of pediatric bacterial enteritis in the Kanto region of Japan: A multicenter retrospective observational study.

Introduction: There are few reports on the causative microorganisms of bacterial enteritis in children in Japan in recent years. The distribution of causative microorganisms is important for estimating pathogens and making decisions regarding the treatment plan, as antimicrobial agents are not required for mild bacterial enteritis cases but are used for severe cases or immunocompromised patients.

Methods: We retrospectively surveyed pediatric patients who underwent stool culture at eight hospitals in the Kanto region of Japan from 2014 to 2019 for patient characteristics, causative microorganisms, and prescribed antimicrobial agents.

This double cohort study aimed to evaluate the effect of tailored dietary guidance for pregnant women on dietary intake, nutritional status, and infant birth weight. Healthy pregnant women were recruited at an antenatal clinic during two phases over 2 years. The historical controls were analyzed a year prior to the intervention group.

[Consideration of the concepts of "remission" and "cured" in schizophrenia: a male case who experienced schizophrenia with psycho-motoric excitation 30 years ago].

Since the era of Kraepelin and Bleuler, schizophrenia has been considered to be very difficult to cure. Even if all symptoms of its acute phase have disappeared completely, it is customary to use the terms say "remission" instead of "cured". The chief reason why they have been unwilling to say "cured" is that, even if the present state seems to be "cured", there will be surely another attack in near future, so, the non-symptomatic state should not be understood as "cured".

[Acute otitis media with bone conduction hearing loss associated with acute mastoiditis].

Acute otitis media, generally complicated by conductive hearing loss, sometimes shows raised bone conduction thresholds. Five patients with acute otitis media with mixed hearing loss and much otorrhea were reported. The chief complaints were otalgia in 3 patients, hearing loss in 4, ear fullness in 1 and tinnitus in 1.

[Long-term observation of sensorineural hearing-impaired children with hearing aids].

In the long-term observation (9-22 years) of 45 hearing-impaired children, using our own "Hearing Test Progress Table", 36(80.0%) showed fluctuation of the hearing threshold. Twenty-nine of the 36 patients had acute progression of hearing loss.

[Rabies virus].

Rabies is not found in Japan at present, but the possibility of invasion of this dangerous infection into Japan always must be kept in mind. In this paper, concerning this disease, epidemiology, infection route to men, pathology, incubation time, general clinical findings, clinical course, various diagnostic methods, differential diagnosis and palliative treatments are described and discussed respectively. Next, prophylaxis using Japanese-make inactivated rabies vaccine derived from chicken embryo are recommended.

Isolation of dermatophytes from house dust on a medium containing gentamicin and flucytosine.

Dermatophytes are usually isolated from house dust by using actidione-chloramphenicol Sabouraud glucose medium (ACS medium). We have prepared a new medium, 5FC medium, by adding gentamicin sulphate (GS) and 5-fluorocytosine (5FC) to ACS medium to achieve more efficient isolation of dermatophytes from house dust. 5FC medium was more effective in isolating dermatophytes than ACS medium or ACS medium supplemented with GS alone.

[The effect of occult hyperprolactinemia (OHP) on gonadotropin secretion system].

The present study was conducted to investigate the effects of the transient increase of serum prolactin levels on the gonadotropin secretion system in patients with occult hyperprolactinemia (OHP). 216 cases of normoprolactinemic hypothalamic anovulatious were selected by LH-RH and TRH loading tests, and 5mg/day of bromocriptine was administered for more than 8 weeks. The effectiveness of the bromocriptine administration was estimated by the ultrasonic examination of the follicular development.

[A study with diagnostic standard of occult hyperprolactinemia (OHP) and the effect of bromocriptine administration].

It is well known that the transient excessive increase of serum prolactin level is harmful for the mechanism of ovulation or the steroidogenesis of the ovaries. The pathogenesis of latent or occult hyperprolactinemia (OHP) has been investigated recently. The present study was conducted to determine the diagnostic standard of OHP, and to elucidate the efficacy of bromocriptine administration for the treatment of OHP and other ovulatory disturbances.

Analysis of clinical backgrounds and pathogenesis of luteal-phase defect.

To elucidate the clinical background of the luteal-phase defect (LPD), 201 LPD cycles were studied in 753 infertile women. One hundred and twenty-one cases (62.2%) of LPD showed transient hyperprolactinemia.

To evaluate the correlation between prolactin (PRL) secreting capacity and puerperal lactation, 66 women who had delivered normally without any complications during pregnancy were studied. They were divided into two groups depending on the lactating state a month after the delivery: The breast feeding group (group A, 40 cases), and the supplementary feeding group (group B, 26 cases), respectively. 10 mg of metoclopramide (MCP) loading was carried out in the 36th week of gestation and in the third day of the puerperium, and serum levels of PRL (at 0, 30, 60 min.

[Comprehensive approach to clinical background and effect of bromocriptine administration in patients with endocrinological polycystic ovarian disease].

Present study was performed to elucidate the clinical features and the treatment of so-called endocrinological polycystic ovarian disease (PCO). 36 cases out of 189 infertile patients who had various ovulatory disturbances were subjected during past four years. They were selected by the definitions as follows; 1) serum LH levels greater than or equal to 30 mIU/ml and serum FSH levels less than or equal to 15 mIU/ml, 2) hyper-response of LH secretion by LH-RH (100 micrograms) loading test; maximum values greater than or equal to 250 mIU/ml.
