Background: The clinical usefulness of remote telemonitoring to reduce postdischarge health care use and death in adults with heart failure (HF) remains controversial.

Methods And Results: Within a large integrated health care delivery system, we matched patients enrolled in a postdischarge telemonitoring intervention from 2015 to 2019 to patients not receiving telemonitoring at up to a 1:4 ratio on age, sex, and calipers of a propensity score. Primary outcomes were readmissions for worsening HF and all-cause death within 30, 90, and 365 days of the index discharge; secondary outcomes were all-cause readmissions and any outpatient diuretic dose adjustments.

Aims: Seasonal influenza vaccination is strongly recommended in patients with heart failure (HF). The NUDGE-FLU trial recently found two electronic behavioural nudging letter strategies - a letter highlighting potential cardiovascular benefits of vaccination and a repeated letter at day 14 -effective in increasing influenza vaccination in Denmark. To better understand the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the care of patients with pulmonary hypertension, we conducted a retrospective cohort study evaluating health insurance status, healthcare access, disease severity, and patient reported outcomes in this population. Using the Pulmonary Hypertension Association Registry (PHAR), we defined and extracted a longitudinal cohort of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) patients from the PHAR's inception in 2015 until March 2022. We used generalized estimating equations to model the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on patient outcomes, adjusting for demographic confounders.

Occult colorectal cancer (CRC) has historically driven recommendations for colectomy in patients with inflammatory bowel disease with dysplasia . We defined the contemporary risk of occult CRC at colectomy among 93 patients with inflammatory bowel disease with dysplasia based on endoscopic appearance, resection, and concordance between site of cancer at colectomy and dysplasia at colonoscopy. Contrary to our hypothesis, we found that occult CRC at colectomy remains elevated in high-grade polypoid and invisible dysplasia.
