Objective: This study aimed to determine whether exposure to traffic-related air pollution (TRAP) is associated with depressive symptoms while also characterizing the contribution of key explanatory factors related to sociodemographics and health. In addition, it aimed to also explore the role of reproductive health as a pathway through which exposure to TRAP may relate to depressive symptoms.

Uric acid is commonly linked to pro-oxidant effects on human health. Though recent evidence suggests its potential antioxidant properties, it is possible that the increase in circulating uric acid levels is an adaptive protective response against the detrimental effects of excess free radicals and oxidative stress present in obese individuals.

The recent expansion of ADS technology deployments is paving the way for early stage safety impact evaluations, whereby the observational data from both an ADS and a representative benchmark fleet are compared to quantify safety performance.

For some patients a hospitalization represents a crucial opportunity to identify undiagnosed HIV infection and interrupt HIV transmission chains. Among people who inject drugs, a hospitalization for infective endocarditis may be one of the only touchpoints they have with a health care provider.

Community health workers (CHWs) play a significant role in supporting health services delivery in communities with few trained health care providers. There has been limited research on ways to optimize the role of CHWs in HIV prevention service delivery. This study explored CHWs' experiences with offering HIV prevention services [HIV testing and HIV pre- and post-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP and PEP)] during three pilot studies in rural communities in Kenya and Uganda, which aimed to increase biomedical HIV prevention coverage via a structured patient-centered HIV prevention delivery model.

Mutations in Sonic Hedgehog (SHH) signaling pathway genes, for example, (SUFU), drive granule neuron precursors (GNP) to form medulloblastomas (MB). However, how different molecular lesions in the Shh pathway drive transformation is frequently unclear, and mutations in the cerebellum seem distinct.
