Article Synopsis
  • Research shows that living near greenery is beneficial for physical and mental health, often assessed from a bird's eye view, while street view images (SVI) offer a new perspective on greenery experienced daily by residents.
  • A systematic review analyzed 35 articles on the connection between SVI-measured greenery and mental health, finding that about two-thirds of studies reported positive links, but the overall evidence quality was low.
  • The review highlights the potential of SVI as a valuable tool for assessing greenery's health benefits and suggests future research should focus on standardizing datasets and expanding studies beyond high-income countries for better applicability.

Autophagy is a preserved process in eukaryotes that allows large material degeneration and nutrient recovery via vacuoles or lysosomes in cytoplasm. Autophagy starts from the moment of induction during the formation of a phagophore. Degradation may occur in the autophagosomes even without fusion with lysosome or vacuole, particularly in microautophagosomes.

  • The study focuses on the cryopreservation of testicular tissue and sperm in bulls, examining how these processes impact sperm quality and cell viability, as well as the expression of the PARP-1 gene.
  • Testes were collected from 20 bulls, and sperm was frozen using liquid nitrogen, with testicular tissue treated with cryoprotectants like DMSO and EG before freezing.
  • Results showed that post-thaw sperm motility and viability significantly decreased, with DMSO improving cell viability more than EG, and both cryoprotectants influenced gene expression related to DNA repair.
