Objective: To examine the relationship between coping strategies and the change in symptom severity in contamination-focused OCD patients during the COVID-19 pandemic over a one-year follow-up.

Methods: In March 2020, a one-year follow-up study was initiated with 56 contamination-focused OCD patients in Turkey. Coping strategies were evaluated using the COPE scale.

This correlational and descriptive research was conducted to investigate the relationship between smartphone addiction, quality of life, and personality traits among university students. Using a nonprobability random sampling method, 496 university students were selected.

Effect of Chronic Valproic Acid Use on Anterior Cerebral Blood Flow of Children with Idiopathic Generalized Epilepsy.

Objective: Cerebral blood flow has been blamed as a factor in the negative effect of antiepileptic drugs on neurocognition. This study aimed to investigate whether valproic acid (VPA), used for the treatment of idiopathic generalized epilepsy (IGE), causes a change in cerebral blood flow in children.

Methods: Included in this study were 33 children who were receiving VPA for IGE and 34 age-matched controls.

COVID-19-associated mucormycosis: Case report and systematic review.

Background: Increasing number of patients with COVID-19-associated mucormycosis have been reported, especially from India recently. We have described a patient with COVID-19-associated mucormycosis and, searched and analyzed current medical literature to delineate the characteristics of COVID-19-associated mucormycosis.

Method: We reported a patient developed mucormycosis during post-COVID period.

The world has been struggling with the COVID-19 virus since December 2019. Turkey has also been battling with the virus since March 2019. While struggling with this unknown virus, we have postponed our new bariatric surgeries like most elective surgery.

Nation-wide analysis of the impact of Covid-19 pandemic on daily urology practice in Turkey.

Objective: To present a nation-wide analysis of the workload of urology departments in Turkey week-by-week during Covid-19 pandemic.

Methodology: The centres participating in the study were divided into three groups as tertiary referral centres, state hospitals and private practice hospitals. The number of outpatients, inpatients, daily interventions and urological surgeries were recorded prospectively between 9-March-2020 and 31-May-2020.

Laparoscopic Partial Nephrectomy in Allograft Kidney.

The incidence of renal tumor on the allograft kidney is relatively rare. There is no standard treatment available for the management of such cases. However, if technically feasible nephron-sparing surgical approaches, whether open or minimally invasive, should be preferred for the management of these challenging cases.

Comparison of functional outcomes of off-clamp laparoscopic partial nephrectomy access techniques: A preliminary report.

Objective: This study aims to compare renal functional outcomes of access techniques in patients who underwent off-clamp (Off-C) laparoscopic partial nephrectomy (LPN).

Materials And Methods: Thirty-four Off-C LPNs in patients with functioning contralateral kidney from March 2011 to June 2018 were included in the study. Twenty-two patients underwent transperitoneal, 12 patients underwent retroperitoneal Off-C LPN.

Clinical Effectiveness of Single Pigtail Suture Stent on Patient Comfort: A Double-Blind Prospective Randomized Trial.

A double-pigtail ureteral stent (DPUS) can cause untoward symptoms, such as urgency, frequency, urinary incontinence, hematuria, and body pain that are bothersome to patient's quality of life (QoL). By reducing the quantity of material in the bladder, it could be reasonable to decrease stent-related symptoms (SRSs). We aimed to evaluate the tolerability of single pigtail suture stent (SPSS) with a validated questionnaire after uncomplicated retrograde semirigid ureteroscopic lithotripsy (URSL).

Laparoscopic management of bladder injury during total laparoscopic hysterectomy.

Purpose: Iatrogenic bladder injury remains a major challenge. We compared the success and reliability of laparoscopic repair of intraperitoneal bladder rupture in patients who had undergone total laparoscopic hysterectomy.

Methods: This retrospective study included patients who underwent total laparoscopic hysterectomy for benign gynaecological cases at a tertiary academic hospital between January 2018 and June 2019.

Unilateral Synchronous Multiple Kidney Tumors Managed by Laparoscopic Partial Nephrectomy: Five-year Follow-up.

Unilateral synchronous multifocal renal tumors are rare. Due to the limited data in the literature and challenges in the technique, there is still doubt on the application of laparoscopic partial nephrectomy (LPN) for the management of such tumors. Herein, we report a 36-year male patient presenting with right-sided flank pain and microscopic hematuria.

Bladder-sparing Approach in a Woman with Muscle-invasive Primary Bladder Melanoma.

Primary bladder melanoma (PBM) is an extremely rare tumor. Herein, we present a 39-year female evaluated for a history of dysuria and hematuria for one month and a solid mass of 23x15 mm detected on the left lateral wall of the bladder. The transurethral resection (TUR) of the tumor revealed muscle-invasive malignant melanoma.

Laparoscopic Bladder-Sparing Approach in Patients with Prostatic Rhabdomyosarcoma: A Case Series of Two Pediatric Patients.

Traditionally, the standard treatment of bladder-prostate rhabdomyosarcoma (BP-RMS) is being implemented to be total cystoprostatectomy and urinary diversion. However, current multimodal treatment approaches emphasize the importance of bladder-sparing surgery. In this case series, it was aimed to indicate the results of the laparoscopic bladder-sparing approach of two pediatric patients with BP RMS.

Clinical Value of CXCL5 for Determining of Colorectal Cancer.

Background: Several studies indicate that chemokines play important roles in colorectal mucosal immunity. The chemokine CXCL5 which is expressed by epithelial cells within colorectal mucosa is a promoter of cell proliferation, migration and invasion, is a novel serum prognostic marker in patients with colorectal cancer. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether serum and tissue CXCL5 levels is altered in colorectal carcinomas (CRC) compared to colonic adenoma and normal mucosa.
