Background: Salivary gland cystadenoma (SGCA) is a rare benign tumor that predominantly occurs in the parotid gland. SGCAs affecting the minor salivary glands are uncommon and often resemble, clinically and histopathologically, other salivary gland lesions.
Methods: This study aimed to describe a series of four cases of SGCA affecting intraoral sites and performed a literature review of well-reported SGCA published in the English-language literature.

Of all the head and neck tumors, salivary gland tumors account to 3%. Pleomorphic adenomas are one of the most common benign tumors arising from major salivary glands, although it could also develop from minor salivary glands situated at accessory sites like nasal cavity, pharynx, parapharyngeal space, lacrimal glands etc. Tumors of infratemporal fossa are quite unusual, mainly because of its hidden location in retromaxillary region.

Basal cell adenoma (BCA) is a rare, benign tumor originating from the epithelial cells of the salivary glands. It was earlier categorized as a subtype of monomorphic adenoma with distinctive histopathological features. BCA usually manifests as asymptomatic, slow-growing masses that exhibit a site and age predilection, commonly affecting the major salivary glands of elderly female patients.

Cystadenomas are benign neoplasms found in major and minor salivary glands. In cases where both oncocytic cells and papillary architecture, without a lymphoid component, exist, the lesion is called oncocytic papillary cystadenoma (OPC). OPCs are rarely encountered in the laryngeal region and that is why they are usually misdiagnosed as other types of laryngeal tumors.

Dysgenetic polycystic disease, also known just as polycystic disease, is a very rare developmental abnormality affecting the salivary gland duct system. This entity has been reported in only 21 patients previously, although a careful review suggests only 16 patients have histological evidence of the disease. In previously reported cases, this lesion most commonly presents as either an incidental finding or as a swelling affecting the parotid glands bilaterally, or rarely the submandibular glands bilaterally.

Pleomorphic adenoma affects mostly the parotid gland (85%), submandibular glands (5%), and the minor salivary glands (5%). They are usually referred to as benign mixed tumors because they are composed of both epithelial cells, which are cells from the body's surface, and myoepithelial cells, present inside glands to aid in secretion. An 88-year-old male who had an ulcer for 10 days and a three to four-month-old swelling on his palate arrived in the OPD.

Aims: Salivary gland tumors (SGTs) are a rare and diverse group of tumors that account for 3 to 10% of all head and neck malignancies. We aimed to conduct a comprehensive epidemiological analysis of SGTs in the south of Iran and compare the findings with previous reports from Iran and other parts of the world.
Methods: Using a retrospective study, 405 patients diagnosed with SGTs were observed over an eight-year period between April 2013 and October 2021 in Shiraz, Iran.

Background: Minor salivary glands can be found in the ventral and anterior part of the tongue; these glands can rarely develop mucoceles that, due to their rarity and their unusual clinical appearance, may present an interesting differential diagnosis. Mucoceles appear as an exophytic, sometimes pedunculated, lesion, which is a feature that is due to the absence of a capsule; thus, the glands are right beneath the mucosa and over the muscle tissue. The aim of this article is to retrospectively present and discuss the anatomy, pathology, clinical features and therapy of several cases of Blandin-Nunh mucoceles collected from two different institutions.

Aims: Recently, HMGA2::WIF1 fusion has been reported in pleomorphic adenoma (PAs) originating from the parotid gland with a characteristic canalicular adenoma (CAA)-like pattern. However, it is unclear whether HMGA2::WIF1 fusion may occur in salivary gland carcinoma or tumours originating from the minor salivary glands. We herein conducted a detailed clinicopathological review of eight salivary gland tumours harbouring HMGA2::WIF1 fusions.

Mucoepidermoid carcinoma is a locally invasive tumor of the major and minor salivary glands. A 29-year-old male patient reported a complaint of slow-growing, painless, non-ulcerated palatal swelling. On clinical evaluation, the swelling appeared benign; hence, the complete excision of the lesion was carried out under general anesthesia, with closure by reconstruction with a partial-thickness flap.
