Secretory phenotype associated with the aging (SASP) of chondrocytes forms the conditions for the musculoskeletal system diseases development, in particular, osteoarthritis (OA). The search for effective methods for OA treating is an urgent task of molecular gerontology. The purpose of this work is to characterize the SASP of chondrocytes and to conduct a comparative assessment of the effect of AED peptide and the cartilage polypeptide complex (CPC).

Material And Methods: Biopsy samples of 116 patients with a verified diagnosis of chronic atrophic gastritis associated with were analyzed in a multicenter double-blind randomized placebo-controlled study. During the morphological study, the parameters characterizing the process of atrophy were evaluated: the number of glands per 1 mm of the gastric mucosa, the depth of the gastric mucosa glands, the number of parietal cells per 100 epithelial cells of the gastric mucosa, and the presence of signs of intestinal metaplasia.

The main part of the injuries of elderly and senile patients as a result of physical activity falls on the lower limbs, due to the increased load during movement. Ankle injuries have a multifactorial etiology involving the interaction of compensatory spinal and leg biomechanics, environmental factors, and shoe selection. In this regard, it is necessary to prepare a complex of rehabilitation measures, including physical therapy, with the possibility of implementing the recovery process not only on an outpatient basis, but also at home, thereby improving the quality of life and preventing disability.

A multidisciplinary approach to recovery after injuries of the ankle joint in elderly and senile people by specialists of various profiles using drug and non-drug methods is especially relevant today. It is required to develop and put into practice various options for the combined use of physical rehabilitation means at different stages of the rehabilitation treatment of elderly and senile patients with this pathology. The study revealed no significant complications and side effects when using this technique, which allows us to recommend it as a means of secondary prevention and injuries of the ankle joint, especially with contraindications to the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and glucocorticosteroids.

The search for innovative ways to treat osteoarthritis (OA) is an urgent task for molecular medicine and biogerontology. OA leads to disability in persons of middle and older age, while safe and effective methods of treating OA have not yet been discovered. The directed differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) into chondrocytes is considered one of the possible methods to treat OA.

The aim of this work is to verify the possibility of transport of 26 biologically active ultrashort peptides (USPs) into cells via LAT and PEPT family transporters. Molecular modeling and computer-assisted docking of peptide ligands revealed that the size and structure of ligand-binding sites of the amino acid transporters LAT1, LAT2, and of the peptide transporter PEPT1 are sufficient for the transport of the 26 biologically active di-, tri-, and tetra-peptides. Comparative analysis of the binding of all possible di- and tri-peptides (8400 compounds) at the binding sites of the LAT and PEPT family transporters has been carried out.

Cognitive impairments are closely related to synaptic loss in Alzheimer's disease (AD). Functional changes in synaptic contacts are reflected in dendritic spine morphology. Visualization of neurons for morphological studies in vivo is complicated by the fixed brain slice staining or expensive adeno-associated virus injections.

Senescent cells take part into development the age-related diseases by formation the SASP: senescence-associated secretory phenotype. SASP is characterized by synthesis of signal molecules include proinflammatory cytokines. SASP promotes the inflammaging - chronic, low-grade, subclinical inflammatory process, that is the one of cardio-vascular diseases risk factor in older age-groups.

A senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) and a mild inflammatory response characteristic of senescent cells (inflammaging) form the conditions for the development of cardiovascular diseases: atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease, and myocardial infarction. The purpose of the review is to analyze the pool of signaling molecules that form SASP and inflammaging in cells of the cardiovascular system and to search for targets for the action of vasoprotective peptides. The SASP of cells of the cardiovascular system is characterized by a change in the synthesis of anti-proliferative proteins (p16, p19, p21, p38, p53), cytokines characteristic of inflammaging (IL-1α,β, IL-4, IL-6, IL-8, IL-18, TNFα, TGFβ1, NF-κB, MCP), matrix metalloproteinases, adhesion molecules, and sirtuins.

Assessment of cognitive and motor function in older age groups is carried out to identify neurological deficits, clinical and functional prognosis, determination of rehabilitation potential, organization of accessible environment, prevention of progression of geriatric syndromes. The development of an applied methodology aimed at assessing both cognitive and motor functions, as well as cognitive-motor interaction in aging in normal and pathological conditions, is at the initial stage of formation. This article presents an overview of the methods used to assess cognitive and motor functions in clinical practice, analyzes the possibilities of their use for older age groups, and considers promising areas.

Determination the activity of the genes of sirtuin-1, hyaluronidase, TGF-β cytokine, calreticulin in the process of replicative aging of human fibroblasts in vitro and the effect of hyaluronan preparations with gold nanoparticles on the activity of replicative cell aging. Compared the expression of proteins of the studied genes using specific markers at 7 and 14 passages of cultivation of fibroblasts isolated from human skin, without drugs and in the presence of drugs in the growth medium. This work shows a decrease in the activity of the sirtuin 1 gene and an increase in the expression of hyaluronidase in the process of replicative aging of human fibroblasts.

The aging-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) is a heterogeneous phenotype of cells secreting pro-inflammatory cytokines, growth factors, apoptosis' regulatory molecules, and proteases. SASP is one of the three main hallmarks of senescent cells. Dysregulation of the synthesis of SASP-forming molecules leads to the development of age-associated diseases, including cardiovascular pathology.

Identification of the causes, as well as the development of a methodology for predicting survival by minimally invasive methods, is relevant. The aim of the study was to study the markers of tight junctions in the buccal epithelium (BE) in people of different ages.

Epigenetic regulation of gene expression is necessary for maintaining higher-order cognitive functions (learning and memory). The current understanding of the role of epigenetics in the mechanism of Alzheimer's disease (AD) is focused on DNA methylation, chromatin remodeling, histone modifications, and regulation of non-coding RNAs. The pathogenetic links of this disease are the misfolding and aggregation of tau protein and amyloid peptides, mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress, impaired energy metabolism, destruction of the blood-brain barrier, and neuroinflammation, all of which lead to impaired synaptic plasticity and memory loss.
