Intravesical administration of Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) has been utilized for the treatment of superficial bladder cancer for the past several decades. Though this treatment is well tolerated in general, both local and systematic side effects have been reported. We present a case of a patient who presented with systemic symptoms of fever with chills associated with leucopenia, thrombocytopenia, abnormal liver function tests (LFTs), and splenomegaly a few weeks after an episode of traumatic instillation of intravesical BCG.

Background And Objectives: To describe the clinical characteristics and outcomes of hospitalized coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients with diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) -- a single center tertiary hospital experience.
Materials And Methods: A retrospective study was conducted among patients admitted to our hospital in the United States between March 1and June 15, 2020 with DKA and severe acute respiratory syndrome-coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection known as COVID-19. We compared the baseline characteristics, laboratory data, and clinical course between survivors and nonsurvivors to identify the risk factors associated with mortality in the patients with DKA.

Brugada syndrome is a genetic disease with a characteristic electrocardiogram (ECG) findings of ST elevation in leads V1-V3 with a right bundle branch block (RBBB) appearance called Brugada ECG pattern and a tendency to develop malignant polymorphic ventricular arrhythmias that may lead to syncope or cardiac arrest. Common triggers for Brugada ECG pattern include fever, tricyclic antidepressants, lithium, cocaine and alcohol. This ECG pattern together with clinical findings mentioned above is termed Brugada Syndrome.
