Objective: To evaluate the prevalence and clinical correlates of peripheral arterial disease of the upper limbs in patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc), as detected with finger brachial pressure index (FBPI) measurements.
Methods: This work is based on the baseline data of the SCLEROCAP multicenter cohort of SSc patients. Finger systolic blood pressure was measured with laser Doppler flowmetry, and the FBPI was obtained as its ratio over the ipsilateral brachial systolic blood pressure.

Background: Primary cutaneous lymphomas (PCLs) are a heterogeneous group of T-cell (CTCL) and B-cell (CBCL) malignancies. Little is known about their epidemiology at initial presentation in Europe and about potential changes over time.
Objectives: The aim of this retrospective study was to analyse the frequency of PCLs in the French Cutaneous Lymphoma Registry (GFELC) and to describe the demography of patients.

Aim: This systematic review aimed to evaluate the use of three-dimensional (3D) printed bone models for training, simulating and/or planning interventions in oral and cranio-maxillofacial surgery.
Materials And Methods: A systematic search was conducted using PubMed® and SCOPUS® databases, up to March 10, 2019, by following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) protocol. Study selection, quality assessment (modified Critical Appraisal Skills Program tool) and data extraction were performed by two independent reviewers.

Frontline healthcare providers (HCPs) during the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic are at high risk of mental morbidity. To assess the prevalence of symptoms of anxiety, depression, and peritraumatic dissociation in HCPs. This was a cross-sectional study in 21 ICUs in France between April 20, 2020, and May 21, 2020.

Glial fibrillary acidic protein is a recently identified rare cause of autoimmune encephalomyelitis, in which the cerebrospinal fluid shows lymphocytic pleocytosis accompanied by linear perivascular radial gadolinium enhancement in the brain. We report a 19-year-old man admitted to the intensive care unit with suspected viral meningoencephalitis. Magnetic resonance imaging showed mild encephalopathy with a reversible splenial lesion.

Background: Guidelines that detail preventive measures against Streptococcus pneumoniae, Neisseria meningitidis, Haemophilus influenzae type b, and influenza are published annually in France to decrease the risk of severe infections in immunocompromised patients. We aimed at describing adherence to these guidelines by GPs in the management of their asplenic patients in France between 2013 and 2016.
Method: We conducted a multicenter retrospective study between January 2013 and December 2016 in three French hospitals: asplenic adults were identified and their GPs were questioned.

Introduction: Clinical trials have shown that psoriasis patients who achieve complete skin clearance are more likely to report no impairment in health-related quality of life (HRQoL) and no psoriasis symptoms versus patients who achieve almost complete skin clearance. However, real-world data are lacking. The objective of this study was to estimate the real-world proportion of moderate-to-severe psoriasis patients on biologic treatment who achieved a Psoriasis Symptom Inventory (PSI) total score of 0 (PSI 0; no symptoms) and a Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI) score of 0/1 (DLQI 0/1; no impact on HRQoL), and to study the relationship between patient-reported symptoms and HRQoL versus physician-reported psoriasis severity (Psoriasis Area and Severity Index [PASI]).

Osimertinib is a third-generation, irreversible, oral epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) that potently and selectively inhibits both EGFR-TKI sensitizing and EGFR T790M and has demonstrated efficacy in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) central nervous system metastases. In this phase I study, we assessed the effects of normal renal function (NRF) and severe renal impairment (SRI) on the pharmacokinetics (PK) of osimertinib in patients with solid tumors. Part A: patients with NRF (creatinine clearance [CrCL] ≥90 mL/min), and SRI, (CrCL <30 mL/min), received a single 80-mg oral dose of osimertinib and standard PK measures were assessed.

Background: Anti-tumour necrosis factor (TNF) and anti-interleukin (IL)-12/23 biologics revolutionized plaque psoriasis treatment by enabling ≥75% improvement in the Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI 75) in clinical trials. Modern biologics are now reported to achieve PASI 100 (complete skin clearance) in clinical trials. However, real-world evidence of skin clearance rates with biologics is limited.

Background: The risk/benefit ratio of using statins for primary prevention of cardiovascular (CV) events in elderly people has not been established. The main objectives of the present study are to assess the cost-effectiveness of statin cessation and to examine the non-inferiority of statin cessation in terms of mortality in patients aged 75 years and over, treated with statins for primary prevention of CV events.
Methods: The "Statins in the elderly" (SITE) study is an ongoing 3-year follow-up, open-label comparative multi-centre, randomized clinical trial that is being conducted in two parallel groups in outpatient primary care offices.

Background: The management of patients with locally recurrent rectal cancer (LRRC) is often complex and requires multidisciplinary input whereas only few patients are referred to a specialist centre. The aim of this study was to design a regional referral pathway for LRRC, in Nouvelle Aquitaine (South-West, France).
Methods: In 2016, we conducted with a Study Steering Committee (SC) a three phase mixed-methods study including identification of key factors, identification of key stakeholders and Delphi voting consensus.

Introduction: Since surgery is the first-line treatment for basal cell carcinomas (BCC), the histological aggressiveness of the disease must be clinically predicted in order to apply optimal safety margins that ensure a high rate of complete resection while minimising the risk of recurrence.
Objectives: To evaluate clinical predictive factors of histological aggressiveness of BCC, we conducted a national prospective multi-centre study.
Methods: All consecutive patients presenting for BCC surgery were included, and standardised clinical data collected, and slides were submitted for review.

Statement Of Problem: Scanning of completely edentulous arches remains a challenge because of the large surface to scan and the lack of anatomic indexes. Whether the presence of impression transfer copings with digital scanning provides enough markers for acceptable precision and clinical use has not been determined.
Purpose: The purpose of this systematic review was to assess the accuracy of digital scanning for complete-arch implant-supported restorations.

Background: Significant progress was recently observed in the treatment of metastatic melanoma (MM). With >50% of patients now reaching a second line of treatment and a significant improvement in the survival rate, an assessment of quality of life (QoL) during the whole course of the disease becomes necessary. The objective of this study was to describe the QoL of patients with MM in France, from their diagnosis of advanced disease to their death, in real life.
