Intra-pulmonary migration of a clavicle osteosynthesis pin: a case report.

Background: Fractures of the clavicle are common injuries, which often require reduction and internal fixation. Although Kirschner pins have been commonly used to treat these fractures with good results, migration of these devices may result in severe internal lesions.

Case Presentation: We report herein the case of 61-year-old man, who presented for intrapulmonary migration of a Kirschner pin, 25 years after closed reduction and fixation of a clavicle fracture.

  • The study aims to describe the clinical features, imaging, management, and outcomes of brown tumors (BT) of the jaws, while also reviewing existing literature to clarify debates surrounding these lesions.
  • Sixteen patients with BT linked to different forms of hyperparathyroidism were treated, revealing that the majority had primary or secondary hyperparathyroidism and that surgical intervention led to tumor regression in some cases.
  • The findings indicate that parathyroidectomy is the most effective treatment for primary hyperparathyroidism, while effective management of chronic renal insufficiency is crucial for success in treating secondary and tertiary hyperparathyroidism.

Ossification of stylohyoid chain corresponds to the ossification of stylohyoid ligament that can vary from thin short to thick long ossification and can be associated with other calcifications. We report in this case a bilateral non painful complete ossification of the stylohyoid complex extended to the thyrohyoidien ligament.

Central odontogenic fibroma of simple type: An original observation.

Central odontogenic fibroma is an uncommon, benign, slow-growing intraosseous mesenchymal odontogenic tumour. It presents a diagnostic dilemma to the clinician and the pathologist because its clinical and radiological features resemble other odontogenic and/or non-odontogenic tumours, and the differential diagnosis is based on histological examination. In this report, we describe our experience with a case of a 23-year-old female patient with central odontogenic fibroma of the mandible that was diagnosed as 'simple type'.

Purpose: Penile skin flap uretroplasty is a useful technique for a long urethral stricture due to the ample length and surgical handling characteristics. We investigated the surgical technique and initial results of uretroplasty for anterior urethral strictures using a dorsal penile skin flap.
