Background: Complete mesocolon excision (CME) and D3-lymphadenectomy concepts have gained popularity for the surgical treatment of right colon cancer in comparison to the conventional laparoscopic right hemicolectomy (CLRH). The rationale of CME is to dissect the embryological planes between the mesenteric plane and the parietal fascia to remove the mesentery within a complete envelope of mesenteric fascia and visceral peritoneum that contains lymph nodes, the central vascular ligation, and adequate bowel length to remove involved pericolic lymph nodes in the longitudinal direction, having as the main goal to improve the oncological results. CME with D3-lymphadenectomy is challenge since involves the excision of the lymph adipose tissue covering the medial edge of the superior mesenteric vein (SMV) (trunk of Gillot, TG), and the gastrocolic trunk of Henle (GTH).

Social exclusion victimization among adolescents causes significant damage and harm to development and social balance. Many of the aggressions that lead to this are based on social stigmas, particularly related to physical appearance in school settings involving physical and sports activities. This study investigates the relationship between victimization through social exclusion (both manifest and subtle forms) and physical self-concept, specifically examining ability, attractiveness, physical condition, and strength.

Background: Conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV) is a significant health and human rights issue in humanitarian contexts, but there is a need of further research on differences between sexes in terms of severity of symptoms and improvement. Consequently, we explored the differences in severity and outcomes among male and female survivors of CRSV who received mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) in an armed conflict setting.
Methods: We retrospectively analysed medical records from 3442 CRSV survivors in a MHPSS programme in Borno State, Nigeria, between 2018 and 2019.

Background: Anthracycline-based chemotherapy represents a cornerstone treatment for a number of common cancers, including breast cancer, lymphoma, and sarcoma. However, anthracycline-induced cardiotoxicity remains a significant concern, often presenting as a decline in cardiac function which can ultimately lead to heart failure (HF) or asymptomatic left ventricular dysfunction, in up to 10-15% of patients.Sodium-glucose transport protein 2 inhibitor (SGLT2i) therapies have been demonstrated to reduce the incidence of HF in high-risk non-cancer patients.

Background: The increasing incidence of coeliac disease is leading to a growing interest in active search for associated factors, even the intrauterine and early life. The exposome approach to disease encompasses a life course perspective from conception onwards has recently been highlighted. Knowledge of early exposure to gluten immunogenic peptides (GIP) in utero could challenge the chronology of early prenatal tolerance or inflammation, rather than after the infant's solid diet after birth.
