Introduction: Hyperbaric oxygen has been used as a medical treatment tool in hyperbaric chambers and is an integral part of professional and combat divers' activity. In extreme cases, exposure to hyperbaric oxygen can develop central nervous system oxygen toxicity (CNS-OT), which leads to seizures and eventually death. CNS-OT is caused by neuronal hyperactivity due to high oxygen levels, potentially damaging brain cells including the blood-brain barrier (BBB).

Research Question: Can an optimal LH threshold algorithm accurately predict timing of ovulation for natural cycle-intrauterine insemination (NC-IUI)?
Design: A retrospective cohort study (2018-2022) including 2467 natural cycles. Ovulation timing for these cycles was determined using a previously developed AI model. Two LH thresholds, low and high, were determined in the LH algorithm.

Cancers that are poorly immune infiltrated pose a substantial challenge, with current immunotherapies yielding limited clinical success. Stem-like memory T cells (TSCM) have been identified as a subgroup of T cells that possess strong proliferative capacity and that can expand and differentiate following interactions with dendritic cells (DCs). In this study, we explored the pattern of expression of a recently discovered inhibitory receptor poliovirus receptor-related immunoglobulin domain protein (PVRIG) and its ligand, poliovirus receptor-related ligand 2 (PVRL2), in the human tumor microenvironment.

Purpose: This study aims to better understand the knowledge and attitudes of men and women internationally towards oocyte cryopreservation (OC).
Methods: An online 25-question survey was distributed internationally via email and social media. Knowledge and attitudes towards OC among different regions and genders were assessed.

SHP2 is a positive regulator of the EGFR-dependent Ras/MAPK pathway. It dephosphorylates a regulatory phosphorylation site in EGFR that serves as the binding site to RasGAP (RASA1 or p120RasGAP). RASA1 is activated by binding to the EGFR phosphate group.

Youth with functional neurological symptom disorder (FNSD) often perceive themselves as having limited capabilities, which may not align with clinical evaluations. This study assessed the disparities between clinician evaluations and patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) regarding pain, motor function, and learning difficulties in youth with FNSD. Sixty-two youths with FNSD participated in this study, all of whom reported experiencing pain, motor problems, and/or learning difficulties.

Objective: Treatment of sinonasal malignancies most often requires primary or postoperative radiation treatment. Post radiation sinonasal morbidity has been previously described; however, none addressed post-radiation sinus obstruction. Our objective was to investigate the long-term outcomes of post radiation complete isolated sinus opacification (CISO).

Background: Quality of life and survival in Cystic Fibrosis (CF) have improved dramatically, making family planning a feasible option. Maternal and perinatal outcomes in women with CF (wwCF) are similar to those seen in the general population. However, the effect of undergoing multiple pregnancies is unknown.

Background: Surgical, minimally-invasive, and non-invasive aesthetic procedures try to ameliorate the signs of facial aging, but also focus on enhancing various individual features of beauty in each patient. Herein, the midface plays a central role due to its location but also its importance for the aesthetic perception and facial expression.
Objective: To date, no study has investigated the interplay between facial muscles and its connecting subdermal architecture during facial aging to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the middle face.
Purpose The purpose of this study is to comprehensively evaluate the role of different echocardiography parameters in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. While echocardiography examination with calculation of ejection fraction (EF), is pivotal for patient monitoring, its operator dependence and insensitivity to subtle changes in left ventricular (LV) contractility present challenges. Global longitudinal strain (GLS), derived from speckle tracking, is more sensitive and stable than EF.

Background: The ACURATE neo2 transcatheter aortic valve was developed to improve paravalvular leak (PVL) rates while maintaining low rates of conduction disturbances and permanent pacemaker implantation (PPMI) seen with its predecessor. We aimed to compare conduction disturbances rates of transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) using ACURATE Neo2 with other commonly used valves.
Methods: A retrospective analysis of the Israeli TAVR registry between the years 2014-2023 was performed to compare conduction disturbances and PVL rates, and procedural outcomes, among patients treated with ACURATE neo2, Edwards Sapien 3 (S3), and Evolut PRO valves.

Objective: The etonogestrel-releasing implant is a long-acting reversible contraception that is recommended by the Food and Drug Administration for 3 years and has been proven to be highly effective and convenient. Adverse effects including irregular bleeding patterns, weight gain, and acne are reported to be the main reasons for treatment discontinuation. The aim of this study is to learn the association between body mass index (BMI, calculated as weight in kilograms divided by the square of height in meters) and the incidence of side effects and adherence to treatment.

Dysregulation of cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs) impacts cell proliferation, driving cancer. Here, we ask why the cyclin-D/CDK4 complex governs cell cycle progression through the longer G1 phase, whereas cyclin-E/CDK2 regulates the shorter G1/S phase transition. We consider available experimental cellular and structural data including cyclin-E's high-level burst, sustained duration of elevated cyclin-D expression, and explicit solvent molecular dynamics simulations of the inactive monomeric and complexed states, to establish the conformational tendencies along the landscape of the distinct activation scenarios of cyclin-D/CDK4 and cyclin-E/CDK2 in the G1 phase and G1/S transition of the cell cycle, respectively.

Diamond-Blackfan anaemia (DBA), first described over 80 years ago, is a congenital disorder of erythropoiesis with a predilection for birth defects and cancer. Despite scientific advances, this chronic, debilitating, and life-limiting disorder continues to cause a substantial physical, psychological, and financial toll on patients and their families. The highly complex medical needs of affected patients require specialised expertise and multidisciplinary care.
