Background: Goal-oriented patientcare is a key element in qualityhealthcare. Medical-caregiver's (MC) are expected to generate a shared decision-making process with patients regarding goals and expected health-outcomes. Hip-fracture patients (HFP) are usually older-adults with multiple health-conditions, necessitating that agreed-upon goals regarding the rehabilitation process, take these conditions into consideration.

Background: Prenatal diagnosis of cleft palate is challenging. Numerous 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional methods have been proposed to assess the integrity of the fetal palate, yet detection rates remain relatively low. We propose the "Hard Palate Sweep," a novel 2-dimensional method that enables clear demonstration of the entire fetal palate throughout pregnancy, in a single sweep, avoiding acoustic shadows cast by surrounding bones.

Premature hair graying occurs owing to the depletion of melanocyte stem cells in the hair follicle, which can be accelerated by stress caused by genetic or environmental factors. However, the connection between stress and melanocyte stem cell loss is not fully understood. MicroRNAs are molecules that control gene expression by regulating mRNA stability and translation and are produced by the enzyme Dicer, which is repressed under stress.

Background: The peritoneum is a common metastatic site of colorectal cancer (CRC) and associated with worse oncological outcomes. Cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (CRS/HIPEC) has been shown to improve outcomes in selected patients. Studies have demonstrated significant difference in survival of patients with primary colon and rectal tumors both in local and in metastatic setting; but only few assessed outcomes of CRS/HIPEC for rectal and colon tumors.

Background: Isolated acetabular component revision is an effective treatment for revision total hip arthroplasty patients who have well-fixed femoral implants. We aimed to evaluate the modes of acetabular failure following primary total hip arthroplasty and to identify factors associated with increased morbidities and postoperative outcomes.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis and identified 318 isolated aseptic acetabular revisions.

Purpose: To compare clinical outcomes, rate of return to sports, and psychological readiness among patients undergoing anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) with and without concomitant Segond fracture.
Methods: We retrospectively identified patients who underwent primary ACLR from January 2012 to December 2020 with minimum 2-year follow-up. Exclusion criteria were additional ligamentous injury, age <16 years, or a concomitant lateral augmentation procedure.

Purpose: Iris pigment deficiency in patients with oculocutaneous albinism (OCA) often causes debilitating photophobia, which is routinely managed by sequential intracapsular insertion of two aniridia rings. A common concern of this technique is the risk of segment interdigitation, which can lead to intraoperative complications.
Observations: In this report, we describe a modified technique through which both rings were stacked together and inserted simultaneously in a 62-year-old male patient with oculocutaneous albinism and a mild cataract.

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is more common among individuals with severe mental illness (SMI). We aimed to assess quality-of-care-indicators in individuals with SMI following the 2015 Israel's Mental-Health-reform. We analyzed yearly changes in 2015-2019 of quality-of-care-measures and intermediate-DM-outcomes, with adjustment for gender, age-group, and socioeconomic status (SES) and compared individuals with SMI to the general adult population.

Aims: Several studies have evaluated the use of electrically- or imaging-guided left ventricular (LV) lead placement in cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) recipients. We aimed to assess evidence for a guided strategy that targets LV lead position to the site of latest LV activation.
Methods And Results: A systematic review and meta-analysis was performed for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) until March 2023 that evaluated electrically- or imaging-guided LV lead positioning on clinical and echocardiographic outcomes.

Autologous cell-based therapeutics have gained increasing attention in recent years because of their efficacy at treating diseases with limited therapeutic options. Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy has demonstrated clinical success in hematologic oncology indications, providing critically ill patients with a potentially curative therapy. Although engineered cell therapies such as CAR T cells provide new options for patients with unmet needs, the high cost and complexity of manufacturing may hinder clinical and commercial translation.

Prolactinomas are the most common functional pituitary tumors, accounting for 40% of all pituitary adenomas. Medical treatment with dopamine agonists (DA), mainly cabergoline, is considered the primary therapy for these patients. Prolactin normalization is achieved in 80-90% of prolactinomas treated with cabergoline.

We aimed to investigate the cost-effectiveness of open surgery, compared to minimally invasive radical hysterectomy for early-stage cervical cancer, using updated survival data. Costs and utilities of each surgical approach were compared using a Markovian decision analysis model. Survival data stratified by surgical approach and surgery costs were received from recently published data.

Background And Objective: A double-blind phase 3 study was conducted to compare posaconazole 300 mg intravenously (IV)/300 mg orally once daily (twice daily day 1) with voriconazole 4 mg/kg IV twice daily/200 mg orally twice daily (6 mg/kg day 1) for treatment of invasive aspergillosis. This analysis was conducted to summarize the pharmacokinetics and exposure-response relationships of posaconazole and voriconazole using plasma trough concentration (C) as a surrogate for exposure from the double-blind phase 3 study.
Methods: The pharmacokinetic evaluable population included all intention-to-treat (ITT) participants with at least one plasma concentration during the treatment period.
