Methods: A retrospective study of 104,315 patients who underwent echocardiographic evaluation during 2009-2021 in the largest tertiary center in Israel.

The Ras homologue family member A (RhoA) is a member of the Rho family, a subgroup of the Ras superfamily. RhoA interacts with the 115 kDa guanine nucleotide exchange factor (p115-RhoGEF), which assists in activation and binding with downstream effectors. Here, we use molecular dynamics (MD) simulations and essential dynamics analysis of the inactive RhoA-GDP and active RhoA-GTP, when bound to p115-RhoGEF to decipher the mechanism of RhoA activation at the structural level.

THE EFFECT OF INTERNAL LIMITING MEMBRANE PEELING ON THE INNER RETINAL LAYERS IN PATIENTS WITHOUT MACULAR PATHOLOGIC CONDITION.

Background: To examine the effect of internal limiting membrane peeling on the inner retinal layers in patients without macular pathological condition.

Methods: A prospective nonrandomized trial of patients undergoing pars plana vitrectomy with internal limiting membrane peeling for pathologic condition outside the macula was performed. Optical coherence tomography including macular ganglion cell layer, inner plexiform layer, and peripapillary retinal nerve fiber layer imaging was performed before surgery, 1, 3, and 6 months postoperatively, and at the end of follow-up (ranges between 4 and 17 months).

Here we aimed to establish the mechanistic role of MCEMP1 in pulmonary fibrosis. We identified increased MCEMP1 expression in classical monocytes and alveolar macrophages in IPF compared with controls.

Effect of time delay in inter-hospital transfer on outcomes of endovascular treatment of acute ischemic stroke.

Background: Endovascular treatment (EVT) with mechanical thrombectomy is the standard of care for large vessel occlusion (LVO) in acute ischemic stroke (AIS). The most common approach today is to perform EVT in a comprehensive stroke center (CSC) and transfer relevant patients for EVT from a primary stroke center (PSC). Rapid and efficient treatment of LVO is a key factor in achieving a good clinical outcome.
