Background: The cumulative burden of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) is significant, with a noteworthy percentage (10%-15%) of patients with HCM per year experiencing major adverse cardiovascular events (MACEs). A current risk stratification scheme for HCM had only limited accuracy in predicting sudden cardiac death (SCD) and failed to account for a broader spectrum of adverse cardiovascular events and cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) parameters.
Objectives: This study sought to develop and evaluate a machine learning (ML) framework that integrates CMR imaging and clinical characteristics to predict MACEs in patients with HCM.

Purpose: To determine the association of myocardial fibrosis and left ventricular (LV) dyssynchrony measured using cardiac MRI with late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) and feature tracking (FT), respectively, with response to cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) for nonischemic dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM).
Materials And Methods: This retrospective study included 98 patients (mean age, 59 years ± 10 [SD]; 54 men) who had nonischemic DCM, as assessed with LGE cardiac MRI before CRT. Cardiac MRI FT-derived dyssynchrony was defined as the SD of the time-to-peak strain (TTP-SD) of the LV segments in three directions (longitudinal, radial, and circumferential).

Background: Assessing the structure and function of left atrium (LA) is crucial in hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM) because LA remodeling correlates with atrial fibrillation. However, few studies have investigated the potential effect of myomectomy on LA phasic remodeling in HOCM after myectomy using cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) feature tracking (FT). This study aims to evaluate the LA structural and functional remodeling with HOCM after myectomy by CMR-FT and to further investigate the determinants of LA reverse remodeling.

Aims: This study aims to validate and compare the feasibility of T1ρ and native longitudinal relaxation time (T1) mapping in detection of myocardial fibrosis in patients with non-ischaemic cardiomyopathy, focusing on the performance of both methods in identifying late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) grey zone.
Methods And Results: Twenty-seven hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) patients, 16 idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) patients, and 18 healthy controls were prospectively enrolled for native T1 and T1ρ mapping imaging and then all the patients underwent enhancement scan for LGE extent and extracellular volume (ECV) values. In LGE positive patients, the LGE areas were divided into LGE core (6 SDs above remote myocardium) and grey zone (2-6 SDs above remote myocardium) according to the signal intensity of LGE.

Background: The most-commonly used multi-slice Simpson's method employed with routine two-dimensional segmented cine images makes it difficult to evaluate left ventricular (LV) volume and function due to endocardial border blurring and beat-to-beat variation during atrial fibrillation (AF) status.
Objectives: To assess the feasibility of compressed sensing real-time (CSRT) cine imaging combined with an area-length method for quantification of LV systolic function in normal sinus rhythm (NSR) and AF.
Methods: The CSRT cine sequence and routine segmented balanced Steady-State-Free-Precession cine sequence were performed in 71 patients with NSR ( = 36) or AF ( = 35).

Aims: Echocardiographic studies suggest that strain is related to myocardial fibrosis (MF) and ventricular arrhythmias (VA) in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) patients. Cardiac magnetic resonance feature tracking (CMR-FT) also allows strain analysis, but little is known whether it provides incremental value to late gadolinium enhancement imaging (LGE). This study aimed to explore the relationship between CMR-FT-derived strain parameters and histopathology MF and VA and its incremental value to LGE in obstructive HCM (HOCM) patients undergoing septal myectomy.
