Introduction: The practice of dentistry benefits greatly from cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) and advantages should be prioritized over hazards; even modest doses of X-rays have the potential to have cytotoxic effects, damage DNA through their clastogenic impact, and stimulate the creation of micronuclei along with further nuclear changes.
Aims And Objectives: To assess the genotoxicity and cytotoxicity of X-rays in exfoliated oral mucosal cells from patients who underwent CBCT scans at different fields of view (FOV), and to examine and assess the extent of cytotoxicity and genotoxicity caused by X-rays in oral exfoliated cells of people who were subjected to CBCT at different fields of view (FOV).
Material And Methods: Following CBCT exposure, 66 patients were chosen from the Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology at the SVS Institute of Dental Sciences, Mahbubnagar.

Aim: The present randomized clinical trial is aimed at evaluating clinical efficiency of two different types of esthetic crowns-polymethyl methacrylate crowns and vacuum formed thermoformed crown as an alternative to full-coverage coronal restoration for deciduous molars.
Materials And Methods: A total of 45 primary molars in pediatric patients were selected using randomization and split into three groups based on the technique used for preparation of crowns: group I-polymethyl methacrylate crowns; group II-thermoformed crown; and group III-stainless steel crowns (SSC). All crowns were clinically and radiographically evaluated at baseline, 1st month, and 3rd month for gingival health, retention, marginal integrity, proximal contacts, occlusion, alignment, and staining.

Objectives: To report and analyze the pattern of maxillofacial injuries in trauma victims and to define the role of a maxillofacial surgeon in an emergency trauma care team.
Materials And Methods: Trauma patients reported and reporting to the casualty of a tertiaryhospital with facial injuries and other suspected concomitant injuries in the body were included in this study. The complete medical and radiographic records of each patient were reviewed and data was collected in a standard proforma in this 5-year clinical study (3 year of retrospective and 2 year of prospective study).

Introduction: Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) has a long history of usage in implant abutments, but it has not seen much applications in tooth-supported prosthetics. The purpose of this research was to examine the clinical performance of PEEK crowns as well as the level of patient satisfaction with them. The pilot study was designed as an longitudinal examination.

Recent advancements in deep learning and artificial intelligence (AI) have profoundly impacted various fields, including diagnostic imaging. Integrating AI technologies such as deep learning and convolutional neural networks has the potential to drastically improve diagnostic methods in the field of dentistry and maxillofacial radiography. A systematic study that adhered to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) standards was carried out to examine the efficacy and uses of AI in dentistry and maxillofacial radiography.

Introduction/background: Perfect facial symmetry has always been considered a hallmark of beauty, but, is almost elusive in nature. However, clinically evident skeletal facial asymmetry on the other hand is quite common, which can result from congenital deformities, developmental abnormalities, secondary to maxillofacial trauma and it is an entity maxillofacial surgeons deal with on a regular basis. Surgical correction of facial asymmetry is challenging, as it not only involves the correction of the skeletal asymmetry for an aesthetic outcome, but, also the improvement of the soft tissue drape and dental occlusal harmony.

(1) Background: The categorization of recurrent and non-recurrent odontogenic keratocyst is complex and challenging for both clinicians and pathologists. What sets this cyst apart is its aggressive nature and high likelihood of recurrence. Despite identifying various predictive clinical/radiological/histopathological parameters, clinicians still face difficulties in therapeutic management due to its inherent aggressive nature.

The microscopic diagnostic differentiation of odontogenic cysts from other cysts is intricate and may cause perplexity for both clinicians and pathologists. Of particular interest is the odontogenic keratocyst (OKC), a developmental cyst with unique histopathological and clinical characteristics. Nevertheless, what distinguishes this cyst is its aggressive nature and high tendency for recurrence.

Background: Dental caries is one of the most common chronic childhood diseases and is a cause of continuous discomfort through impaired function and esthetics. To control dental caries, the removal of plaque is of utmost importance, and that further necessitates the use of chemotherapeutic agents. Several side effects associated with chlorhexidine have stimulated the search for an alternative chemotherapeutic agent.
